We want future generations to remember Seki Sensei as the legendary Sōké who brought back the glory of our Ryuha. I'm always in awe at how Seki Sensei re-sheaths his katana as natuarally as breathing, I'm still worried about stabbing my hand every time I do it! 🙃

So many stabs! I always have at least two scrapes healing 😅

Thank you for the detailed breakdown of each movement. The attention to the details is what set your videos apart from others. I like doing each movement 5 times while alternating front and side views. Great work

Thanks! Liked the original video and now this one was dropped. What an opportunity! Now it's easier to get other things like footwork etc. Much appreciated! ❤ Kinda sad that I can't join and wouldn't be able to succed if I could join because of my mediocrity. But at least I can have a little bit of fun. 😎

Thank you Sensei, I’ve been practicing Kendo And Kenjutsu and there aren’t any dojos around here so all my teachings come from books and online. This will be a great excercise to use!

Funny. I get scolded all the time for moving my waist ("In no martial art you move your waist!") but his is in constant movement... (And mine was too in an other Dojo that did Kenjutsu-like stuff) The Dojos differ heavier in their teachings than I expected.

Outstanding quality thank you! Question, with a ken how do you draw without cutting the inside of saya over time? Does this speak to more if using left hand to reveal ken instead of right hand?

Honest question here. when drawing the blade, does it hit or rub on the inside of the sheath? So each time you drawn the sharp blade is running on the inside of the wood? Just wondering if that affects the sharpness over time.
@letsasksekisensei8 ай бұрын
If you correctly use both hands to draw the katana, you should not be scratching the inside of the sheath every time! If you are, it means you’re still a beginner!
