Chris' rough grading with a digging bucket is a better finish grading than many other operators get.

Ha! I renovated an old house some years back. I'd seen people put plaster on walls and even had one guy explain the technique. Well, I had plenty of walls and lots of time, so I tried, and tried, and tried. It got better and I was starting to persuade myself that the work was acceptable, even if the early efforts would have to be redone. Then, I had a builder put a concrete finish on the inside wall of my brick garage. He made my best work at plastering look like the surface of the moon. If I took up plastering as a career, the clients couldn't afford me and I still wouldn't make a profit. Some of us got it, some of us just don't.

I like the way you make every thing look so god. I know you can comb hair with your bucket teeth and that other bucket I can understand why that is your favorite one with all the side movement, your grooming bucket. If you ever work in North East Tennessee I would love to meet and talk with you. You have great details that goes with your work. which makes the videos even better. Do you own the gas station at your lot? I enjoy very much. By the way I am a 74 year old minister and did a lot of repairing equipment for 31 years at Tenn. Eastman Company. At Kingsport, the plant employed 16,000 workers and the maintenance department had 1,100 employs alone. We had 4 power houses and generated our own power, furnished the plant with steam. We made chemicals, yarn, tenite, cigrerites filters,dyes of all kind acids. We had a lot of equipment and produced gas from coal. It is 1/2 million operation in itself a day. I did a lot of welding,

Not sure of all the snake 'varieties' available in this part of NC, but with all the hurricanes and rain, it seems to have flushed-out some big, bad ones....not just a black snake. Second looks and caution are always a good thing, IMHO.

In my neck of the woods we use old cars (only the metal) to keep the banks from eroding. Set them on their side and fill them with rocks.. works great.

Aught to try to make a holder on the tractor for the other bucket - then you have both -have to pick it off this bucket due to weight - going back the two buckets can hold themselves. Just a thought - haven't done it myself.

So, I have been watching all of Chris’s videos over the last weeks on and off. He really doesn’t like Snakes 🐍. Poor little guys just trying to survive with no legs and Chris in his big machine. Chris must have had some bad experiences with Mr No Shoulders in previous years, because he sounds like he really doesn’t like them. I’ve never had any problems with them, even my Army days all over the south. Ft Benning, Ft Bragg and Ft Rucker. It’s funny to hear the change in his voice when he starts talking about them and he keeps a daily tally of how many he’s seen.

I've built ponds before but not out toward the coast in the sandier soil. I've always been in good red clay or blue mucky clay that works when dried out. If you get into an area where its sand and no red dirt how do you build a pond in that type soil. What do you make a dam out of to hold the water in? I know it can be done I just never seen it done or had it explained to me. From Rowan county, Stay well. -Wil 👍
