Nice job! Like the way your dumped less material in the center of the draw and more on the outer edges of it. Grading it out will more efficient while keeping the existing contours of the field. man in a few years that will be some top grade dirt
@davidpontius70314 жыл бұрын
Would you mind explaining to me why that dirt would be better than any other dirt? Other than how it is in fairly neat rows, I don't know why that dirt would be more desirable than anything one could dig out of the ground elsewhere.
@imchris50004 жыл бұрын
@@davidpontius7031 its all black topsoil
@Cp3_james4 жыл бұрын
@@davidpontius7031 At my old house the clay wasn't even 100mm (4 inches) from the surface level. The material in the piles he's made is a mix of silt and top soil/leaf mulch so would have a lot of neutrance in it
@rajbeekie71244 жыл бұрын
@@davidpontius7031 The silt in ponds tend to be topsoil that is washed into rivers and ponds. Topsoil is generally your richest soil. This is why the deltas cased by flooding is rich for crops.
@Skorpychan4 жыл бұрын
@@davidpontius7031 Thick, black dirt full of organic matter, and with nitrogen not yet stripped out by crops. It's also going to be nice and deep in that little valley there, so there's plenty of drainage. The bits of wood still in it will also bring plenty of worms, and the soil is already aerated by being scooped around a bunch before being dumped, and it's completely un-compacted so there's plenty of gaps for roots. Come back in a month, and those strips will be covered in grass and weeds.
@raywilson8004 жыл бұрын
Even out in that water that deep now your tracks sound like they are on solid ground so l guess all that mud was because of the last guys mess. Unbelevable! Some people have more nerve than a burglar. Really great job! KEEP diggin😎

I do hope the old contractors are watching this. They are more likely holed up in a saloon bar somewhere, with their excavators tied up at the hitching rail outside. Sooner or later the swing doors are going to open, and Chris will mosey into the bar. The piano will stop playing, and all heads will turn towards the door. If they are lucky, Chris won't have Charlie and his automatic with him, and Chris will just tell them to get out of town. When they make toward the hitching rail and their excavators, Chris will tell them that ain't gonna happen, and tell them to 'get walking'.
