Chris, I hope you know how much your viewers are "helping" you. We hold our breath while you get the excavator off the lowboy. We use our best body English to nudge the excavator around important plants and bushes. We nudge the bucket into the mucky mud, et cetera. We're glad to help. No charge. And BTW, thanks for the videos.

It is always nice to see someone who gives a dam. Not many people give a dam, but it is nice to know you give a dam. Even if people have to pay you to give a dam, you will give a dam. Not only that, but it shows how you care how you give a dam; you don't halfway give a dam, you give a whole dam. Some would say you even know your dam stuff.

I dont like operating when people are running around me while i am digging because you have to focus on what your doing not what everyone else is doing, just yesterday i had three guys walk up and started working laying forms in for a concrete pour and I wasn’t even close to being done yet, so i stopped and told them all DO NOT GET BY ME UNTIL I AM DONE because i am running this here Iron and i cant see everywhere so if i move and dont see i dont want the try explain to your family that it wasn’t my fault, so stay put or work out of the distance, also when you breaking concrete out for everyone to stand well enough clear because four month ago i was loading concrete in the Dump Truck using the Excavator Andy the thumb shattered a chunk of concrete it bounced off the side of the truck and hit right on my forehead just above my temple and absolutely it happened so fast it, it didnt knock but for a second i just grabbed my head and my sun glasses which are also safety glass’s helped it from taking my right eye out, i open my hand the Blood was just gushing out of my head i jerked my shirt off put pressure on the cut then off the machine i went sat down and when the Ambulance came i was ok just shaken up a bit but ok none the less so my son took me in to get my stitches, so a very long story to get to the point STAY AWAY BECAUSE ACCIDENTS HAPPEN EVERYDAY, Be Safe folks.

@@Diddley-js6lf About two months ago, a 19 old newbie in the construction business got killed in my neck of the woods, because he walked behind an excavator while in operation and was run over - killed instantly - and the poor operator got a breakdown and has been off work since. He maybe never comes back to work as a heavy equipment operator, despite it wasn't his fault at all. He immediately got cleared for any wrongdoings by the police and the health & safety inspector, and his equipment was in top noch condition as well.

I have enjoyed watching many of your presentations & YES I am a female! If I could offer some constructive criticism and you can take it for what it's worth... many times it is difficult or impossible to hear what you are Saying and also for some of the people that are there with you. Might suggest considering doing some voice overs when you see that as an issue. Also if you might want to speed up in a time-lapse some of the dig the hole, dig the hole dig, the whole kind of thing until you get to the AHA moment! I have found myself fast-forwarding through some of your projects just to see the end result so you might draw more viewers in if they didn't have to watch the tedious parts of what you do... and you are very good at it, but maybe more people can enjoy the whole process.

Yes, indeed. I believe Cat are prototyping one in their effort to produce the ‘Chris Guins’ line of machines. Apparently, it was also suggested to paint the stick and arm black (à la Volvo) but I can’t confirm this because my source was recently assigned to Cat’s office in Ulan Bator, Mongolia. Those of you who have seen Chris’s new home wouldn’t have been surprised to have noticed the “blue” theme on the exterior. Apparently there’s a federal regulation that emergency services centres must be painted in that colour. Each centre has its own call sign; no guesses for Chris’s.

Don't laugh about Ulaanbaatar Mongolia, all the big heavy equipment makers have large sales offices, giant warehouses and service centers there. Lots of equipment is sold there for large-scale gold mining (Boroo Gold Mine is one) and mining for rare-earth metals like neodymium. The sales people seem to spend much of their time entertaining customers, lots of drinking, Chinese women and model-like Russian women. I'm told it's a great place to be a salesman if you like to drink and don't have a family.

Wonder how long it will be before they come out with computer stabilization for operator seats. It should be simple enough to install servos, actuators or whatever it is they use to isolate the chair from the machines jerking. I'm not an operator just an avid viewer but I would guess some would say it would take away from the feel of the machine when digging which I could understand.

We had to do the same thing with an excavator awhile back...The site had gotten a ton of rain the days leading up to when we were supposed to pour. The foreman in charge insisted that we get the concrete in that day so they used the excavator and forgot the fact that concrete dries if you don’t wash it out. Funny watching the laborers beat the crap out of the bucket with sledgehammers for the rest of the day!

TIM from Canada it sure would’ve been nice for someone to put the camera on the shoreline so I can see what the fuck is going on in this video but of course cannot see nothing from the inside of your machine.... once again you have taken upon yourself to put the video camera in the inside of your machine this is a waste of time because I cannot see what is going on..NOT HAPPY NOT HEIPING IN THIS VIDO
