Not only are you preparing it for a family's use but for using heavy equipment or anything they can throw at it. Road section in the woods is looking real nice once you worked your magic on it. Been watching you for years, still amazes me a bit how much weight compacted clay can hold up. It's almost as hard as concrete once it is compacted correctly.

Well sir, if you didn’t have the motor grader, on this project anyway, I would think this road project would have been a lot more difficult to get as nice a looking and efficient grade put in this road project, it is sweet. Thanks for the update, really enjoying this series.

A sheeps foot and a smooth drum, on SITE. Sheeps foot for compacting the clay road base and the smooth drum to set the stone paving surface. A sheeps foot is no good for setting the stone it just keeps breaking it up, you need the smooth drum to get all the fines locking the stone into a hard as rock surface.
