There is a positive outcome to a heavy rain while you're trying to work. You can clearly see where your drainage areas need work.

Glad you're safe from that storm. It dumped on us outta nowhere as well. The benefit of those duck drowners while you're on site is you can see your grade work in action and tweak the swells when it dries out if needed.

Monsoon rain and a major tornado but Chris only gets a short break in his day. Now that is a master plan that really gets the job done. I remember job sites that would shut down for three days over something like this. Keeping those odds and ends on the side so you have something to do keeps the job on track for the win. Looking good Chris. One or two more storms like that and the pond will be full. Water will be getting into it for days as it makes it's way across the property.

Good thing you were not digging Bealy Good's foundation today. That would have been a mess. The news is only talking about the drug warehouse that got hit. Hope you and those you know were not damaged. I was wondering how close that was to you guys but did not look up on the map yet.

And FAR more profitable to do it himself - “employees” have so many hidden costs (SSI, taxes, worker’s comp, Medicare) that don’t make production any cheaper. Even contract labor has costs no one thinks about.

I love this channel and the outcomes of Chris's work. I am becoming convinced that the scale of his work is starting to indicate a requirement for a permanent assistant! There are of course three considerations, efficiency, responsibility and cost. I think efficiency is very evident, not only in terms of whole job time but also in terms of stress reduction. Responsibility.. well Chris seems to have loads of work so help would enable that to progress quicker and the right help would mitigate supervision etc. Cost!!! That is the difficult one, an additional member of staff is a big cost, but would it get more throughput of work and ease time pressures on jobs, don't know because of course it's all about job costing. I think Chris needs to have that discussion with himself.

After a few years blowing leaves out of the stones and picking limbs up out of the road from ice storms and hurricanes, they'll probably regret having you move the road so close to the tree line....looks nice though. Spose they'll just hire out the maintenance, no skin off their teeth.

Wonderful project, I've enjoyed watching for several months. Perhaps someday you can give us a 30 minute overview of everything in general terms? Example, "x" acres to start, contains a fish pond with a beach, crops appear to be hay, so you must have stock to feed? You cleared hundreds of trees and burned them, imported hundreds of tons of rock, on & on. In the end, this would appear to be your home, your expectations when done are to be a gentleman farmer and ride your horse, fish and hang out on the beach. Just kidding on the end here, but I'm really impressed. Thanks, appreciate the videos. Stay safe, from Southern California 😊😊
