It so cool to see all the puzzle pieces of that property come together. The pond “beautification” for that house was one of my favorite series. When you came out of the forest on the dozer just now, I was not expecting to see that property!! Keep up the great work.

The loggers left a terrible mess! Chris, you're a great guy for taking the time to clean things up and get everything sorted out properly, including re-aligning the road for better passage and use.
@johnleake7084 жыл бұрын
Loggers generally leave a mess... unless someone rides them really hard to clean up. Been there done that many times. Clean up means more costs, and logging is a small margin business Worked as a feller one summer in Northern Utah
@jonathanlanglois27424 жыл бұрын
You should see the logging roads they make in the woods near where I live. They almost all have foot deep ruts that end up flooded and creating an obstacle for water runoff. That logging road looks great in comparison.

When one contemplates the notion that Chris is one of thousands of heavy equipment operators who is pushing, digging, and relocating aggregate across the vast, fruited plains of America, it should bring about a sense of ease to realize there are plenty of wage earners who see America as a fine place to invest hard earned dollars. Thanks for doing what you do Chris! 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸✌🏻

Lots of comments about the loggers leaving a mess, but they need to make money too and they aren't getting paid to pull stumps or haul brush
@anthonymoser464 жыл бұрын
Most don't understand that
@williamd69674 жыл бұрын
3 ways to work it just cut timber land owner gets the most money.pull up stumps land owner gets even less money.burn and clean up like a pasture even less money for their timber if they make any at all.most say just cut the trees.
@SwedishForestEngineer4 жыл бұрын
And it's not all about the money. I work as a forest engineer and ppl doesn't understand the benefit of making as little of an impact as possible on the soil when logging. All insects, mushrooms and plants that depends on the residue from logging.
@brockshields93364 жыл бұрын
But Chris basically logs also (pulp wood and hardwood), and gets stumps and all which ends up in burn piles and the ash buried. A much tidier job. Cleaning up after the loggers is an expensive mess. Who profits?

Loggers normally do just that. the land has to be prepped for planting. They sell the scrap logs and stumps to wood suppliers (fire). Today the profit level on wood lots and wood loggers and mills is so low and limited flow due to shutdowns in mills. Machines still break down anyway.... Bob Ferranti suggest you look at logging shows.
