Regretfully, in my younger years I would call an old timey operator (snail man) he seemed to me soooo slooow but after he got done for the day he would load the same amount of trucks that I would. I learned something being faster just wears you down more. As I became a more experienced operator I would make every move count, and I became more relaxed and became one with the machine. In my 35 yr of being an operator I feel I mastered the 4 in 1 bucket. What a great tool to operate and look forward to you (Chris) mastering it as well.

We had a similar issue with a regular Virnig tooth bucket in that we were using extra thick treads on a tire machine. This caused quite the change in bucket angle usage in "the home" position throughout the wear of the tires. We ordered the bucket with the mounting plate not welded on and we custom attached the plate in the correct position for our purpose and was very happy. We have used Virnig for a long time and never had any problems with any of their attachments. They are very sturdy and durable!

Having ran a skid loader for a long time, having the loader arms tight against the machine stops while the cutting edge can be leveled is HUGE. It makes the difference between floating, grading, and/or digging. I 100% agree with your 7/10 ratings on all 3 buckets.

Awesome video review. My friend has a case loader and his dad has an older case. I was hauling manure out to the fields and when I was operating the bucket and I noticed that same kind of deal where the front edge was up off the ground a few inches too. The newer skid loader with the same bucket front edge was level with the ground and the operating speed of the bucket is quicker too. About 3 days @ 12 hours per day to empty out the manure pit. Every little bit of speed on the operating of the tilt of the bucket sure saves a lot of time at the end of a project!

I Had a CA 4 BUCKET on my first machine bought in 2000 loved it. Just got a new machine this year and got the CA 4 BUCKET on it. Not pleased with the new one, very unhappy with it. Just like you said teeth ride higher than the cutting edge. Not only that the back cutting edge hangs lower than the bucket by one inch which makes grading very difficult ,you have to keep the bucket tilted down in order for the back cutting edge not to be digging in. There was nothing wrong with the old ones that I could see. Wish they had not fixed something that was not broke.

I sold that bucket after 100 hours or so. I actually met with Ted and his brother about the hitch plate height being off 3 years and I’m glad they finally fixed that. @timmyfrierson26844 жыл бұрын
Well Chris I definitely think the first bucket that you tried was the best by far other than the teeth not touching the ground with your boom all the way down and that would not be a hard fix to straighten it out all they would have to do is readjust their shanks so they’re your teeth would touch the ground when your boom is all the way down and the bucket laying flat on the ground so if I had to choose between the two of those new ones that you were trying out I would definitely take the first one because it’s a lot stronger built looking bucket but anyway to each his own and another great video you and John and your family stay safe brother and keep the videos coming

Sounds like the takeuchi sits lower, which is causing these problems. Just need the mount dropped down lower to fit. And yes you can weld onto the bucket, just need filler metal to match the base material the best. I’m surprised you haven’t got a custom bucket built to your specs.
