Imagine being the writer: everyone around you gets cloned, and your boss just gives you piles upon piles of blank scripts for 12+ movies with the exact same name. Actually Illiterate is the most important person in this whole operation: $984 salary, 24 years of backbreaking constant scriptwriting for hundreds of cheap cashgrabs.

The year is 2033. The news has played the 473rd consecutive "Geriatric 27: Oh Thank Heaven" trailer instead of the ongoing nuclear war over advertising rights. You try to go to sleep, but the incessant knocking of the door to door movie promoters keeps you awake until 2:00 am, when the repurposed air raid sirens blast out the same teaser soundbites that you've heard thousands of times by now, just like they do every hour. You shove your head into your pillow and finally manage to rest. The instant your eyes close, you receive crystal clear dreams of a 90-year-old man pretending to be stabbed in a fire. You decide to preorder 19 tickets for release day and dozens more for the following week. There is no escape.

That says a lot of society really, people living in a consumerism society, where there's nothing to do except consuming junks and unwatchable garbage. Until the point that despite so many better movies exists out there, our attention span is so short we're left to consume over-hyped junk in fear of FOMO cause other people are doing the same. Then the unwatchable junk buys out every other good industry to produce the same junk that we consume on a day to day basis. Ironically, despite good movies exist, human prefers to consume junks simply because it takes shorter amount of time for gratification to kick in, like draugs. If the gratification is lost, we just move on to the next movie like how we consume tiktok vids.

There was a jank / cheese horror studio called Full Moon Entertainment, and my friends and I used to watch their movies on weekends. They were terrible B movies and absolutely self aware. We laughed so hard. It was exactly the right fit for our collective sense of absurdity. (They're probably best known for Puppet Master, but they did more than 200 other movies you've never heard of. @@MarcoGruber The USA has about 331 million people and big studios with massive marketing budgets. That’s why movies and other entertainment make a ton of money there - it’s mainly about having a huge audience and strong promotion. Switzerland, on the other hand, has only around 8 million people, so it's tougher to make big bucks. If you want to go international, you have to spend a lot on marketing, and it’s even more expensive if people aren’t familiar with the studio, actors, or culture. People usually stick with what they know. American culture is like a franchise that has spread worldwide, and they’ve been investing in propagating it for a long time. This makes it easier for US films to succeed globally.

That's the inherent flaw with games like this and game dev tycoon. What you do doesn't really impact your score, it's all too arbitrary. You can make a blockbuster by filming a corner for an hour if you tick the right boxes, or you could spend days finely crafting a scene only for the game to tell you it is garbage.

Yes, I had the same thought. It looks like a really detailed and well made game, and I really like the idea of these kind of business games, but what boxes I click and what sliders I move in what direction just doesn't have an impact because the simulation is not deep enough. Josh just proved it, making me loose interest.

Think of how many human rights violations Josh committed in one video. First, he made Latelife McCrisis reshoot the same scene over and over for nearly 3 straight years with no breaks. 22:32-22:39 He cloned the same people several times over without their consent for cheap labor. Not only did Josh pay them nearly nothing, but he also made them work 24/7 with no food or rest, ever. Wouldn't it also be considered elder abuse to make 92 year olds work 24/7. Unwatchable Garbage is not a movie studio, it's a torture camp for unskilled workers.💀
