I'm so thankful that you like blooms because somehow I learned the "blooms are bad" and thought I was doing something wrong. I kind of like them also. So, thank you for taking the 'shame' away from the blooms for me.

We LOVE a good bloom. We're proud of you for learning to love them as well. Remember, no such thing as a mistake, just happy accidents.❤️

Hi let's Make Art team ! I took up watercolor painting few weeks ago an I would say I'm quite a fool for it now. I'm mad about all types of creative activities and that's why I'm used to trying new things when I start becoming a bit bored of the one I've just tried out. And yet, I can't help keeping on painting with my watercolor palette every evening after work to let off steam ! I randomly discovered your youtube channel few days ago and I've already went for the carrots, the rabbit (yes, It was Easter !!), and the last one : the citrus grove. Thank you so much for sharing all your tips that let me try new stuff. You give me so much delight in this weird period with your joy and your gap-toothed smile Sarah ! You are teaching me how to let it go and appreciate imperfections and that's a big step ! Thank YOU !!!

It’s always hard for me to start painting because I’m a perfectionist, and I’m always scared that my painting won’t look as good as in the tutorials. Thank you for teaching me the oath, it helped me to not judge myself too hard.

I am only 12 minutes in but I had to comment first off. 4:52 says the word Kumquat, 4:53 background laugh from Michael, because it’s a funny word and why not 😂 4:44 look of “let’s not”. I’ve been in a downward spiral with my mental health and the last time I think I even watch a video was when you were pregnant the first time. I decided to get back into painting and decided to pop on and watch some videos. I’m thankful your still making content and know it’s a blessing to me!

Any advice on using your own paints here? What color is close to rose red? Maybe pyrrol red?
@perrosyjoyas3 жыл бұрын
Citrus fun fact : in México, what you call "limes" (small green ones), are called lemons, and lemons (bigger yellow ones) are called limes. Similar to Brazil nuts, called just nuts in Brazil. Or French fries in France.. ;)

When you have a dark orange or something and want light highlights, would you do the highlights first and then make the orange darker?🤷🏾♀️
@marthaanderson26563 жыл бұрын
yes, with watercolor you cannot paint a lighter color on top. You can lift color off, when wet, by removing paint with the brush, but if you want a whole different light color you need to put it down first or build darker colors around and leave space for the light color later.
