Thank you for sharing. I just started a seasonal journey. In the fall I did my first themed journal. Every day I painted on a challenge. I am ready to start a Christmas/ winter journal. I’ve decided to wait and paint this in my fall journal first.

Appreciate your comments about journals and painting... they're an opportunity to learn and grow ... I'm a beginner of 2 years and then stopped painting 2 years ago... I became nervous about outcome!!! Perfectionism plus!!! I have all I need to begin again but just can't... I watch artists everyday!!! It was part health issues but now idk! Thank you for doing this video! I needed to be reminded to ask myself, “ what do I like in this photo?” Instead of, trying to recreate the photo. I know that seems obvious but I do fall in that detailed trap of recreating. I appreciate you and your work so much!

Pinterest is a great platform for my journal projects ideas! Sometimes, I use multiple photos for reference on a subject to paint. I feel a little discouraged with respect to the Pinterest comment. However, I now feel the need to try new original paintings. Tough love on this one. 😢

Random question. Where did you get your watercolor palette? It looks similar to one that was in a deluxe version of one of the floral boxes you were selling but it sold out before I could buy one.
