Something is seriously wrong with anyone, regardless of age, who is cruel to homeless people. Even if you can’t help them in any way, it costs nothing to be kind. I don’t understand why you would want to go out of your way to cause further pain to someone who is already struggling with a hard situation. It’s sick.

your empathy and way of thinking is agreed with highly regarded and should be how everybody feels, I think I know the difference in between right and wrong and I realize it's a matter of opinion as what's right to me is wrong to another, at the same time, even if I'm keeping law worldwide,different countries in perspective, I still can't help but feel like there's definitely a line. even though I strongly believe that we are right, as far as this being good, I also strongly feel that whatever God is or demons even would agree thank you for being a decent empathetic person and not another douchebag

I agree 100%. I never understood how someone can kick a person when they're already down. You have to be a pretty demented individual...
@jatoalworth724
@jatoalworth724 Жыл бұрын
I see this kind of hatefulness everywhere. I was homeless for a long time and I won't even get into you how much worse it is for a female addict, let alone a 14-year-old girl like i was when I started, I'll just say that I grew up real fast. I'm just glad I wasn't homeless when phones had cameras and crap like that. I just read about a guy who was drowning in a pond, and he saw a bunch of teenagers on the dock and was yelling at them for help and all they did was bring out their cell phones and record his death. The DA tried to slap some charges on them but there was really nothing they could do to make anything stick because of the state they lived in. But you can see this behavior everywhere. Like when someone has their car break down, and everybody is honking and screaming at them to get out of their way. As if the person woke up that morning and thought, "you know what? it would be really cool if my car broke down in the middle of rush hour today, and if I could ruin a bunch of people's day, including my own, because then I'll have to pay a bunch of money to get my car fixed. Hell yeah, lets do this!" Or the time that I was in a parking lot and this poor guy's wheelchair battery died, and everybody was honking and screaming at him to get out of their way, and he's doing his best to kind of inch himself forward as fast as he could... no one was helping him. I was new to the area, and had no idea what the people were like. I'm kind of an idiot sometimes and rush in head first if I see somebody that needs help, it could have been a trap, but I didn't care, I had been fighting off people for so many years. I had a pretty good idea of what to look for. So, of course I jumped out and helped him. Once I got him out of the way, everybody started clapping and cheering...not because I helped the guy, but because I got him out of THEIR way so they could go on and get their shopping done. This, "I'm better than you", "you're in my way", "this is my world", kind of thinking and behavior is just getting worse and worse. It's truly sad, I actually have to watch videos where people are doing nice things to remind myself that there are good people out there. I used to be such a people person. I always wanted to be in a new place, meet new people, see new things, I've hitchhiked across the US twice, now I don't want to go anywhere, I think I've seen enough.

I remember when the Night Stalker was staking the area, suddenly, comfortable suburbs were no longer safe. I remember the photo in the newspaper of lock isles in stores cleared out. It was also when I was no longer considered crazy and paranoid for wanting to keep the house door locked at all times. (My parents would go on to keeping them OPEN during the day, after the whole Richard Ramirez thing died down, which drove me nuts, but . . . luckily nothing bad happened to us). For awhile, in the local news, he was also being called the "walk-in killer" as he walked in through easily accessed windows or doors, thus, the rush for everyone to buy locks. It was when veneer of innocence in the SoCal suburbs died. One thing I will say is that, I think MUCH of the issues caused by people are caused by BROKEN people. So, for everyone living a good life to say "that's not my problem," there is a chance that it could, in the form of crime, in homeless encampments, and everything else that people don't want to think about. People can be broken in many ways - childhood trauma, war, poverty. We are interconnected in a way that a lot of people don't want to admit.

Author of story 5 needs an editor. You can't state at 44:26 that the prowler snuck up to the house and cut the telephone line then at 47:02 say how the victim rushed to her father's bedroom and dialed 911 with her toes.

I added my own personal knowledge to the story(I totally missed what you pointed out) in the comments, trying to keep it brief, as I always must, if I'm not mistaken this was done live? I can't even imagine all the work that goes into this and how worn down the storyteller must be at the last story, especially if live. good eye though that doesn't add up I just know too much about murders and other such things can't understand and want to or anything interesting I don't know. omg! c? I just did it! I said I know too much about.. things I don't know. well that's funny I hope you understood what I meant

@@Canyonradio I keep posting a link that has a quote from “Manson: In His Own Words” in which he describes his pre- messiah days living on “636 Cole Street at Haight” with a bunch of teenage Dead Heads. It was there he discovered acid. KZbin auto- deletes urls nowadays, I guess. But let’s backtrack a bit- nothing against Leonard Cohen, but am I being asked to defer to his song lyrics over the stack of actual factual accounts I read when I was 17 or so and spent an afternoon in the library obsessing over the Manson case? Manson was jailed about 45 minutes away from where I lived. He was kind of a local anti- hero. People read up on him because they were keeping tabs on his parole hearings.

That Summer of Love individual is forgetful about some details about that era, particularly the year 1967, for someone who was around then. Beatniks were a part of the fifties scene and gone by the late 1960s. The Mamas & the Papas did not compose or sing the song San Francisco (it was Scot McKenzie), and Charles Manson's family committed the murders which made them infamous in 1969, not 1967.

I always love knowing who wrote certain songs, due to Ghost writers, like Prince and several others, even today I might not ever know who wrote what. listening to Leadbelly, knowing all of his music has either been heard by slaves or whoever or he wrote it and The House of the rising Sun is probably the most recognizable, there's a lot of others that I was initially unsure why they sounded SO familiar..(perhaps due to the fact that all r modern hits maybe, there, genius self?).. so much desired knowledge unobtainable, perhaps a good reason for it IDK

NOTE: ComplexPTSD is specifically related to personality disorders (due to the nature of hypersensitivity and sometimes narcisstic rage), especially Boarderline Personality Disorder; it is very separate from regular PTSD (or as soldiers once called it "shell shock").
@annahappen7036
@annahappen7036 2 жыл бұрын
It's not "very" separate. Alot of symptoms overlap. The big difference is in how you aquire the disorder. CPTSD results from more slow burn or recurring trauma piling up overtime (i.e. various childhood abuses) PTSD comes from sudden onset trauma.

I love the story about the shelter system. The same thing happened to me, though I was disabled and had a baby, so not using drugs. (I went through my own experience with that later and am now in the chemical dependency treatment field). But I was one of those who was assaulted and told I had to move because I was a liability. Not the person who had assaulted a mother carrying a baby and goaded a group into participating while they threw me on the ground and kicked me. I brought a lawyer in there who told them how illegal it was, they had called me a liability anyway. I figured I’d live up to the name. They gave me a little more time, afraid of legal trouble, then came up with a loophole by which they could deem their shelter “inappropriate” for someone with a disability, stating I needed a higher level of care. That’s an easy way to kick a person with disabilities out onto the street, because insurance isn’t going to cover a medical care home when you’re not acutely ill, and there are shelters that could easily make accommodations. More often than not, in my experience, they don’t.

This is correct, the song was sung by Scott McKenzie but was written by John Phillips the guitarist for The Mamas and the Papas.

you know somebody else mentioned that too and I thought the same thing initially as soon as it was pointed out, in October I had a very good memory refresh on the story in all of its glorious details and can't remember for the life of me what happened as far as that went because it was really in I believe Fresno but somewhere in Orange county there was a kid that was working on one of his bicycles prior to anything Ramirez did there,wrote down the stolen cars license plate number as he found it to be suspect, (kid could use his chakras I guess) and it was that little kid that ended up being the end of b all f u night stalker damning evidence key to everything almost, and would be most definitely, (word almost being buyer and seller of stolen goods who knew due2 obviousness and his daughter would not let him not say anything, he received immunity exchange 4 his info, I suppose the kid working on his bike is the key but the stolen merch guy would be the lock

better leave the comment section before I get stuck here because all I could think about was the kid that is not mentioned in the story and I know if I continue there's going to be other stuff I know about that story aside from my love of conversation I really need to leave this section, plus now all I can think about is how was that possible and I think he either cut only one of two lines or just didn't cut the right wire but I don't have time to look it up let alone comment on everything either way I'm glad that you guys pointed that out

🤔 I just recovered from my first round… missed the Dead South concert I’ve been waiting for for 7 months because of it… that bit truly gave me the shits… But as the same guys from the south keep telling me, I know I’m a 100% sure that in hell I’ll be in good company. I have a bone to pick with the guy that supposedly rules over there
