These stories are so validating to listen to. When I was like 6 I was drowning in an apartment pool. I saw my mother standing over the pool edge just watching. She waited for forever it seemed to pull me up and then quickly let go again. I think if people hadn't of been near by she'd of let me drown in that moment. We went home and she pretended like nothing had happened. But that wasn't anything new for us. She was bipolar and abusive but you'd usually never know. It helps listening to others have such a similar "horror story" and helps me process it as traumatic instead of just another weekend memory that saddens me. I've had a lot of those realizations from these stories actually.

I'm a professional hypnotherapist so I wanted to answer the question raised in the 3rd video about whether hypnosis could be used to recall events that happened. The answer is yes, but you have to be careful of one thing. Everything you ever do in your whole life is recorded in your mind. You can't recall it consciously because...well, imagine what it would be like if you could! Can you imagine how horrible it would be to be able to think of every day and every event from your whole life, all of the time? It would drive you mad and you'd never be able to focus on anything. I'm sure you've had a time when you heard a song from years back and it instantly brought memories flooding back of what you were doing at that time. That's proof that you can recall things that you think you've forgotten and it doesn't matter how long ago it was. Think of it like putting a ball in a box then coming back 50 years later; the ball will still be there even if you forgot about it. This is how hypnosis works to overcome anxiety, stop you from smoking or lose weight. It's partly about finding the memory of what caused you to have or do those things and once you look at it in a different way, the problem will be released. But what's that one thing I said you had to be careful of? False memories. This is when the therapist can inadvertently plant an idea in your mind which, or when you misinterpret a memory and make it out to be something it's not. This is a very real problem and something you have to be very careful of as a therapist. You can do it properly by using clean language, that is language that doesn't suggest anything. If I ask a client "Can you see a man there with you?" then I've suggested there should or might be a man there. A better way of asking that would be to ask "Is anyone else there?" or even better "What can you see around you?". Hypnosis is massively misunderstood and I have to sigh when I hear it mentioned in stories about people being kidnapped and hypnotised into doing things against their will. That is total nonsense and hypnosis can't make you do anything. All hypnosis is self-hypnosis so you can only ever hypnotise yourself. It's impossible to hypnotise someone else and you can never, ever, make anyone do anything they don't want to. So yes, that person could use hypnosis to recall the memory but it has to be done properly or you could open a whole can of worms you really don't want to...

The boy with no memory of his abduction should look into EMDR therapy. It’s natural & very beneficial. I’ve had several rounds of EMDR. It’s used with Red Cross, FBI & many veterans have had fantastic results with the therapy. I know he says he doesn’t have memories & EMDR is a trauma resolution therapy but it will take your mind to many places in a session. EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization & Reprocessing.

To the man who has the memory from being 6 years old. About getting picked up by a random man but then took back home. That might've been your dad? You only mention your mother in the story? He obviously didn't tell him he was his dad but wanted to spend time with him? He said strangers would be recognized immediately, and maybe his dad would have been from there too? I'm just trying to give him a description that doesn't have anything awful happening to him

There is a way to unlock traumatic experiences..... that's if you want to go down that road. It is very healing though. It's called EMDR therapy.

You don't "chamber a round" with a .38. That's a revolver round.

Revolvers have a chamber in the cylinder, so they do have a chamber technically just 6 of them.

16:10 Therapeutic hypnosis is a real thing. You can go to therapy and unlock repressed memories and I promise! I unfortunately did it and there's no going back. Your mind repressed it bc it's protecting you. It is so much better to live in ignorant bliss than face the horrific trauma and the demons the with come with with unlocking those memories!

It sucks if someone has no family, but having family doesn't mean life's good many peoples families suck and are horrible to them.
