Yes, guns and knives are illegal in many european countries. Only the police have guns. Some criminals have illegal weapons but I don't think they camp. In europe we don't have a gun culture, we don't have them and we don't think about them. We bring a knife if we have to cut the sandwich on the sunday walk basicly. If people just keep banning things that can be used to hurt one another we won't have anything left to defend ourselves and the governments will have complete control, if good people took the time to arm themselves the bad ones would be out numbered. I slightly agree with the ignorants saldy. Only that this is a situation you should really put more thought into protection.... Although, Ill also add that gun happy people like them are also the reason why our countries so dangerous and you need a gun here. So their nietzsche esque philosophies are highly invalid. If everyone wasnt ready to attack everyone else for no reason.... 😒

@@DrLili-DrawnByTheDevil that would explain the lack of bombings and violence in countries without 2nd Amendment rights -- not to mention the lack of militias totally not involved in raping and human trafficking. Good thing were safe in Canada...

Really? Camping is great (usually). I've never had a bad time, like these people. I highly recommend going during a meteor shower! It's fantastic laying out, watching the shooting stars. Although sleeping under the stars is nice, the dew kind of soaks u and your sleeping bag. They have camp grounds all over, so if these stories make you worried about camping, I'd camp at a camp ground. P.s the Northeast isn't all back woods hillbillies like the south. Maine is a fantastic state for camping, or Mass, New Hampshire or Vermont are good too. You should try it at least once.

My story: I was camping miles southwest of Jax alone. Had everything that I needed. Explored the surrounding woods and eventually made a campfire. After a couple hours around the fire while scrolling on my phone I got a weird feeling. I couldn't put my finger on it so I just chalked it up as maybe just paranoia and time for me to call it a night. I have a habit of tying my tent zippers for whatever reason just in case someone or something does find my camp and tries to enter my tent. After falling asleep I eventually woke up to my zipper being fiddled with. Of course them not knowing that the zippers are tied together. I always carry a pistol no matter where I go. I quietly grab it and lay in silence. With my ears straining I hear the slightest foot steps around my camp and see a faint shadow past by the faint fire that was still glowing. I personally have alot more courage and balls than most people so I untie the zippers but ik in that silence that me unzipping would alert them that I was awake, so I waited. After a while of hearing nothing and as slow as possible unzip the tent just enough that I can peak out. When I looked out all my hair stood up because i could see 2 men we're on the edge of my camp site in the faint glow. I couldn't tell the direction they we're looking so I continued to wait to see what they we're doing. One walked out of sight to the side or behind my tent. I slowly cock my S&W 40 cal as quiet as possible. As I'm doing this and certain that they did not hear, the other guy out of sight whispers and the other starts to tip toe but relatively fast toward my tent. I knew I had to do something but was worried because I knew I may be surrounded. So I unzip it fast and blast my pistol right at the guy who was tip toeing making him drop to his knees while barely visible. I turn around to see the other guy but complete darkness and no sounds. I stood their for a second contemplating while the other guy was groaning. Out of the darkness the guy comes flying out of woods with a machete and slashes not even inches from my pistol. I shoot the man in his face and knew he was dead by how he fell. The other guy i noticed in the moment wasn't groaning anymore and I turn around and he tackled me and stabbed me twice in my upper right body. Note that I am a former grappling champion and with the adrenaline pumping I'm on top of him in less than a second. Pound him in the face like a savage animal till he stops moving. I get up and contemplating shooting him but I won't shoot a unconscious man so I start running to my car. I get in and grab my flash light as I start the car up. I point the flash light in that direction and no one is there. I was stunned. After looking all around I stupidly or not get out of the car heavily confused because I was sure I just killed two men, I get back in and grab a towel to wrap it tight around my shoulder area to control my bleeding. After a minute of taking care of my bleeding I get out and slowly walk back to my tentt looking in all directions in fear I would be attacked. I walked to the two locations I shot the men and there was no blood, no footprints, no sounds, no nothing. Of course my mind Is racing a thousand miles an hour knowing I shot two men and how could they just be gone. Terrified not knowing wtf was going on I ran back to my car and started driving out of the woods in the middle of the night. But thinking to myself that it couldn't have been ghost by how I was injured and how i saw them fall after I shot them but thinking if they we're humans they would have certainly still be on the ground or at least blood. When I was about a mile away in the woods with my windows partially down I heard a loud laughter of multiple men which made no sense, it was abnormally loud. Terrifed i floored it even more. To this day it scares me but I have no clue what I encountered that night or how they just disappeared. The scars leave a reminder on me for that night. One thing that's haunts and and confuses me is that I remember seeing no detail oncthere face at all, just blackness.

Like a lot of these type of compilations, some of the stories are genuinely creepy and some of them are shockingly mundane. Like, you have to have lived a sheltered life to believe that cops showing up at a camp because somebody was spotted with a pellet gun is "horror". The cops weren't even dicks or anything lol.
