The Nazis were horrible human beings who actually enjoyed inflicting fear and pain in others. They ignored the rules of the Geneva Convention (as did the Japanese) and did the most horrid things to innocent civilians as well as the Allied soldiers. No worries though; that sniper is most likely long dead and rotting in the bowels of Hell right now...they all are. Millions of unnecessary deaths fought in an unnecessary war started by a psychotic madman who in the end unceremoniously committed suicide with his clueless, empty-headed mistress turned wife (bet that marriage was never consummated! Haha!) in a final act of cowardice and desperation. What that whole, awful saga said about humanity is just sad, pathetic and so painful that the scars it left on the world will never, ever fade. It leaves one feeling powerless, confused and angry at the pointlessness of it all. Humans will never learn from the mistakes of their progenitors and are doomed to repeat them until we annihilate ourselves out of existence.

I tried looking up to see if there actually was a relationship between bears and crows like the first story said, and I couldn't find anything. The closest I could find would be the opposite, where crows would caw to warn others of dangerous predators. Quit giving these beautiful corvids a bad rep, random stranger.
@ellen28054 жыл бұрын
I tried looking it up and saw something about ravens and predators having a relationship like that on a dubious looking bird website. It cited a book called Mind of the Raven by Bernd Heinrich as offering "possible evidence" but also said it's not well documented. They thought that the book's explanation was more credible than ravens calling to warn people about nearby predators or being friendly woodland creatures for a distraught princess. No clue if the book or author are credible. The website didn't look reputable. Google says he's an award winning naturalist, professor emeritus, and biologist. Who knows.

One of them was an Australian Shepherd/border collie & she was an amazing beautiful dog who would have protected me for anything. After losing my dogs, I told myself that I wouldn’t get another dog. However that story made me want to get one. I love the woods & a lot of times I feel myself getting paranoid at a certain point while alone in the woods. I very much doubt any part of Galloway Forest could be described as "Not stepped into for hundreds if not thousands of years" There's the Forestry service for a start not to mention the large number of hikers, campers and locals (like myself) who visit every year. The forest may seem wild and remote to someone from Liverpool but it's hardly the dark side of the moon. It's awful what happened to his friend but I think the writer is taking poetic licence, implying Galloway Forest is akin to somewhere like Yosemite.

Great Crow, Bear story. Yes, I have read that crows/ ravins ( scavengers) pair up with predators like Bears, and wolves to help them locate prey. Not a little buddy, not cute, right? They are just smart. About grandfather and WWII, the sniper must have been on meth/ amphetamines and abusing the drug. Taking high doses of amphetamines makes a person seem psychotic. Drugs were used on both sides of the war, but the Germans abuse was rampant. Sorry about Grandpa and his group.

I have a crow friend who I feed everyday and the one day I was outside in my garden I heard my crows cawing and freaking out and I turned around and they were attacking a fox that was heading my way. They were protecting and warning. So idk about the first one. It is common for crows to warn ppl of danger

I think it's funny when people from the UK talk about unexplored wilderness, long drives or large expanses of land, the state I live in (Nevada) is larger than the whole of the UK, along with a handful of other states.

Like some people, I fall asleep to these. So after a LONG day at work I look forward to listening to this while I fall asleep 😴. I appreciate it so much thanks for making these 🖤

For the 4th story. Before it ended I knew it was going to be all in his head. I think maybe he has Schizophrenia. Honestly very sad and scary ! I couldn’t imagine being scared and the events aren’t even real 😓

Remember guys, when lost in the woods moss grows on whatever side of the tree it fucking feels like growing. Don't use cartoon logic when exploring.

She said her dog is a klee kai and then said it was big? Small incorrect details like that make me question everything I hear after it lol. I mean it was pretty fake anyway, but...

48:15 The compass may not have been faulty. In fact, it probably wasn't. The compass, sudden disorientation, and memory problems, mood changes, lack of animal activity. It all points to a (high intensity) alternating, or patterned, magnetic field.

I didn't Know there was grizzly in Olympic national park. I lived there for about 8 months and people said there is only black bear there.

As someone who lives and hikes in Washington, I'm pretty sure that story is fabricated. Bear attacks aren't that common, especially not in a trail with heavy foot traffic.

Hate how in most stories people fall down at the worst moment. It makes it seem super fake.

If they are running through a forest I give them a pass, cause there is a lot on the ground you can trip over. However falling on a smooth paved road that's when I get suspicious. 🤣😂

You don’t hear about the times people fall without being in danger because there’s no reason to talk about it.

Even after finding out (from the first story) that crows can be assholes, I still consider them to be pretty cool birds.
