Well that’s downright scary as hell. Especially since when you lock a window it’s supposed to do just that. Certain windows can be manipulated to open. I always added a specific lock as extra protection. If that didn’t work I’d drill a hole thru the window frame (past the edge of glass) and insert a screw. Couldn’t open it then. But that was a crazy story. Glad you only lived there for 3 months. Thanks for sharing this with us!👻🎃

So a guy was trying to come into their apartment, and the girl's mom didn't do anything but just STAND there while her daughter was screaming bloody murder at the intruder and pushing him out?!? The mothers I know turn into Hulk when they perceive a threat to their kids, but this mother didn't do anything?!? Wow. ... and some of these stories just made me roll my eyes. They get stalked, cornered, threatened, or their house gets broken into but no one calls the police and/or no one presses any charges. Smart thinking right there.
@sharklemon24306 жыл бұрын
First of all, that was my story. And second, please don't judge a book by it's cover. At that time my mom has only been in this country for a year and a half and didn't speak the language well, and so she wouldn't be able to explain the situation to the police (plus the police is quite useless here) and I on the other hand was panicking so bad I wouldn't be able to explain anything because I was a crying, shaking, yelling mess. You can go to my original Reddit post (it's linked in the description) where I answered other people's questions

@sharklemon24306 жыл бұрын
@@KrystalMimms it's completely up to you to believe if it happened or not. All I know is that it happened to me, it scarred me. Have you ever moved to another country and didn't know the language? Have you ever been in a country where police is useless and something bad suddenly happened? Don't think so. But again, I answered all the questions on my original Reddit post. And plus, I didn't put every single tiny detail on my Reddit post because it was already quite long.

Ellie, sort of, reminds me of this girl, Tori, I knew in my senior year of high school. She was far less terrifying, but still creepy. She, basically, attached herself to me after she found out I'm a fan of Gorillaz and was, immediately, acting like we were best buds. We rode the same school bus, too, and she admitted to looking for me outside of my apartment building, as if it's totally not creepy...

The last story I related to so much. I was 18 but looked younger, and doesn't help that I am short. I got hit on by older men all the time and my male manager did nothing. My female one would though. I once had a real creepy guy flirt with me while I was alone in the shop while my manager ran to the bank. I was thinking in my head please let her come back soon. I don't want to be alone with this guy any longer. He said a lot of creepy stuff to me trying to get personal details about me. Thankfully my manager came in right as I was about to ring him up and she had a box for the store that needed to get brought to the back I quickly said "I'll take that right now for ya!" told her that the man needed to be rang up and politely asked her to take over the register. As soon as she said yes I took that box and ran to the back as fast as I could. She came to see me and said that guy was asking for my number I shook my head no and did the no way hand motions. She just nodded and went and told the guy I didn't have a phone or something like that. I waited until he was gone to come back out. I got asked all the time if I was old enough to work there since you had to be at least 16. It was horrible when they would flirt with me and I couldn't say anything. Only a few times would someone in the line next to them would speak out and say that they needed to stop and it was clear I was uncomfortable. I hope I never meet any of those creepy guys again.

It's easy for ppl Commenting to say what they'll do in these types of situations...because they're not in them. It makes me sad sometimes listening to these stories and seeing harsh comments where people judge how others react to dangerous or stressful situations. We can be objective because we are not in those situations, we are not scared or panicking. It's a different story if you are.
@trashotaku Жыл бұрын
Some of the comments were unnecessary like the comments calling the posters idiots for being polite to creeps/people threatening them. Trying to be passive in order to not anger the perpetrator and endanger yourself even further is a smart move. However, other comments are well deserved, especially when the posters do something that will put them in an even more dangerous situation. Though, your option is completely valid and is something I wish more people would think about
