The story where ghosts don't haunt bodies of water: first of all, there are tons of stories of haunted bodies of water, secondly, there were no ghosts in your house. Your dad was cheating on your mom, you threw water on them, dad got pissed and chased you out. When you mentioned ghosts the next day he went quiet because he wasn't expecting a story like that to just fall in his lap so he went with it. That's why he told you to just stay in your bed next time and not throw water on the "ghosts". That's why he told you not to tell your mom.

Unfortunately, there's a lot of truth to the UAE story (45:45). I grew up in Bangladesh (East Pakistan until 1971) and a lot of Bengalis go to UAE for work. While the UAE is notorious for its abuse of immigrant workers, I can't say the workers are famous for being well-behaved, either. It's best to be on your guard. To be clear, I have a lot of love for Bangladesh and the Bengali people. Their ruling class has supremely fucked them over and has enforced a lot of backwards practices to retain control. It hurts everyone.

Dude in the last story 100% should have reported those cops to their sergeant (or whomever their boss would be) and informed the news. That's a disgusting abuse of power and no officer should be using police resources to gather info on someone from a chatroom they use personally and then threaten his family. Not only a fireable offense but grounds for a lawsuit - or at least a restraining order.

About the story of the kid who threw water at a ghost. It's Ironic that the teller was saying how smart they were for their age. Yet, the story totally sounds like they caught dad having sexy time with someone and threw water at them. To be honest, if that's the case I would've played it like dad too and just claim it's a ghost and tell the kid to hide in their room, just to avoid future interference (or traumatizing the kid more. I mean, who likes to hear their parents doing it, right?). What irked me tho was that claim that ghosts don't like water. Were is that coming from? There are shitloads of stories and legends about haunted ships, springs, lakes, shores, light houses and other places in or around bodies of water. And I highly doubt ghosts in haunted castles take off because it's raining either. I think someone mistook that with the witch from the Wizard of Oz or such...
@charaznable65973 жыл бұрын
Yo.....the story about the kid being able to perceive ghosts....his dad played into the situation to not get caught cheating. For the story at 44:00, it’s just a basic animal call. I used to use them all the time to hunt wildlife. We had one of a recording of a hurt rabbit to call in coyotes. I bet it was just a hunter Edit: googled it, it says coyotes, foxes and bobcats are known to hunt owls. It was 100% a hunter

Hearing the girl who was creeped on by that guy on the cruise ship makes my heart sink so low. The poor girl blames herself CONSTANTLY for "putting herself in the situation" when that creep NEVER should have put her in that situation to begin with. Honey, if you see this message, NONE OF THAT was your fault and you did the best you could to avoid being hurt by that creep. Be strong, and give yourself a little credit. You still managed to avoid a really bad situation, even if you may not have done it perfectly.
@ZeeNastee3 жыл бұрын
Ehhh, I would say it was both of their faults. Him for pestering her when he should have been focusing on non-verbal signs and her for not directly saying she didn't want to. People aren't mind-readers and if he is socially "dumb" and she's going along with all of his stuff then he legit may not know better. Better advice to give is to be direct and not worry about being too nice.
@chaerod3 жыл бұрын
@@ZeeNastee I'm not sure if you've ever been put in a situation like that, but it's fucking scary and the guy's social ineptitude doesn't excuse that. ESPECIALLY after she told him her age. He had no excuse.
@ZeeNastee3 жыл бұрын
@@chaerod I have been in a worse situation than that but sugarcoating the mistakes that she made in the situation doesn't help her at all. She seems like she realized the things she could have did differently and learned from it. I'm autistic and quite often I don't get what people are putting down unless they're direct, picking up on queues isn't easy for everyone. Being direct and saying what you mean is necessary. Women have to break out of the idea that being nice in bad situations is an okay thing to do, it's unfortunate she had to learn it that way but I'm glad nothing worse happened for her to learn that.

I used to think the same way. For example, it is very easy knowing what to do when you're in traffic and get into a scuffle with another driver: Pull aside, confront nicely; exchange phone numbers if there is any form of damage; take licence plate if guy drives away. Easy to remember, right? I thought so, until one day, in an undercrossing in which I know there are no cameras, when a school bus cut off in between another car and mine, almost rear-ending mine in the process. I did pull aside, but instead of taking a licence plate, I sat in there and hyperventilated for almost 10 minutes. I was scared, then angry, then worried, because it was a goddamn SCHOOL BUS who had almost crashed into me. That bus was probably carrying small children as there was an elementary school nearby, and to think that their lives were in the hands of some guy who put speed before safety, chilled me to the bone. You truly not are in your right mind when something scary happens. The people telling these stories cannot be blamed for not thinking with their conscious minds

Which stories featured dumb people besides the kid who threw water at a "ghost"?

Um if the one guy from story two with the psycho gas station worker had been spoken to about making coworkers uncomfortable talking about his medication and said he’s been diagnosed as a “psychopath” as a child had been talked to by the manager and he was mad about it and was ranting saying that “they were lucky I’m taking my medication,” and how if he wasn’t that it would be bad.... THATwould have been something that the manager needed to know bc that’s a pretty serious statement to throw out there like that.

I was 10 and me and my friends were creeped out by a Pakistani man . We would play near this parking with the restaurant close to it and this man would stare and call us over to him.we never went there. Another incident when I moved to a new place due to unrelated reasons..I was 15 and i was cycling and this indian dude out of nowhere started giving me his number and his name..I called my dad who told me to call the cops since I was alone in that parking area and that he was coming to get me...I didn't I just stopped near the residential area where it was well lit..it was scary but I miss dubai😔

The way the police now act about predators makes me sick. So many of these people get caught doing things, and they do nothing about it until some poor child turns app dead, and even then half of the time they don't do much
