Hi Trevor, This was awesome!!! I cannot thank you enough. I have started a new business on a very tight budget. I priced a simple brochure at Staples today, On sale it was going to be $389, reg. $669. and that was just the brochure. I cannot imagine where this would have left me. Thanks so much Trevor, very helpful. I'm a little lost on one bit- at 1.35 'Edit Shape' - I just can't find that button. My word doesn't look like this layout (not sure which version I have or how to find that out but i would have thought its in the last 5 years). I'm on a mac if that makes any difference. Hi Isuru, Put the image in the header and footer layer of your document. Make sure it is a very pale image. This layer will sit behind your text layer. best wishes Trevor

Trevor- this is excellent! one question... what if I want to send an email with my letterhead? I tried but the colors are dulled out. Is there a way to save it so when I email a customer my letterhead will appear in full color? Thank you!

Thanks for the great tutorial. It was really useful. I want to put a Logo in the middle of the page. (Watermark) But how can I make it lock it in position so it can't be moved. And you can type above it? Cheers

Thank you, I spent a few hours following this very cool tutorial. It is fantastic, I have since played around with shapes and made a few different ones. The only issue I am having is when My partner goes to use one how dose she go about it? So far I have said '' open the letter head doc insert info, text etc then when ready to save ONLY SAVE AS and make a new doc, otherwise it would overwrite the letterhead''. Is their a easier way of adding this to a new document?? Thanks for all you do, very much appreciated by myself and others,

Hi Steven, When you have completed the letterhead save the file as a template (.xltx) will be the file extension. This will create a template to use for each new letter. The original will not alter. Best wishes Trev

Hello .... i've tried creating a letterhead with this tutorial, but my problem is this, that the design is not covering the entire breadth of the paper when i print out. Why is this happeningl pls?

Is there a way to make it so that it doesn't get faded once I click out of the header? The reason for asking is so when I email someone using my letterhead it doesn't show up faded on their end.

Gersh Park The background if faded because it is in another layer. It will not print faded. The only way to overcome this is to put the full letterhead on the text layer. Best wishes Trev

Trevor, thanks for all the help but my letterhead has a 5mm gap on all the way around it like a border? it doesnt look this way on word only when i print it. i took it to a local copy shop and they told me they cant do it they have to trim the paper? And it will be like $500bux. please help! other then that everything is perfect!

Hi Tom, Printers require a margin to pull the paper through. Commercially a file is created with a bleed margin on oversized paper that is trimmed after printing. You may be able reduce the margin a little by converting to a PDF. Best wishes Trev

Hi Tony, There will be a margin around it which will vary depending on the printer. Create a PDF and you will be given a few more options. Trev
