I feel bad for Bruce today... but he did sit pretty high on the hill of life when he had the chance. Thanks for all the entertainment, Bruce.

THAT'S the intro montage that takes me back. I had tickets at the NBC show and we got cut out somehow, but Dave's awesome assistant Laurie Diamond put us in the damn green room with Jan Hooks and Kmar instead of sending us back to Minneapolis disappointed. I will never forget it, even got to say a quick "hi" and a handshake with Paul Schaeffer. Great upload and God bless Laurie Diamond 👍

If you had tickets WHERE the absolute * do they have the RIGHT to CUT YOU ??? 😳
@nedwart6 ай бұрын
@@otisdriftwood1697The tickets handed out for TV show tapings are generally "standby" tickets, meaning they're handed out in excess of the number of the seats the studio has. Entry is first come first served, and the person above was too late to get a seat.

i had a five year old daughter when this aired. i missed a few years of letterman along the way but watched the entire last season. you might enjoy that how so many stars came back to honor him in hilarious ways.

also the interviews for the anniversary dvd set of moonlighting where Bruce Willis and Cybil Shepard explains how his career started. Cover of National Enquirer back then showing him and that barely a soap star Demi Moore on vacation together.

Thanks for uploading this! Believe it or not, THIS episode was my very first viewing of Letterman. Robin Ford ( the music guest for the show ) had just put out his " Talk To Your Daughter " album and it was this show that introduced me to both Robben and Dave. Amazing times! Thanks again.

Bruce wrote a lot of the dialogue for Mikey in Look Who's Talking. No wonder, why that baby was so sarcastic! LOL! I wish, he could've stayed for the whole episode. The most successful guy in show business!

Bruce was unsurpassed as the voice of Mikey in look who’s talking. The movie had just been released at the time of this interview. It was actually a masterclass in voice acting 🎭.

Think it is funny that they dismiss, "Voice Acting" as just some goof. That's the way I always thought of it- until Disney started making it seem like real acting. You show up, and read the script, for like 2 days? That ain't acting.

Christ, that whole horrible period when Bruce Willis was trying to make it as a singer. That was a national nightmare. Does anyone remember the wine cooler commercial he did around that time? Awful. Who knew he would turn out to be such a lazy hack and all-around jerk?

One of the classiest most thoughtful comments to ever grace the internet. Well done sir.. well done
@lanceash2 жыл бұрын
@@Skier10 I thank you for your most gracious reply and salute your taste in such matters. Do you, as I, feel that "Die Hard" was a superior cinematic product, one whose legacy was only tarnished by sequels of diminishing value? If so, do you not agree that part of the blame for that revolting development must lie with Mr. Willis himself? Too bad about Alan Rickman.
@Skier102 жыл бұрын
@@lanceash haha.. well I must say that while a good entertaining film I’m not a big fan of the Die Hard series in general. On that note, my interest to this video more lies with late 80s/early 90s Letterman then much to do with Willis. But yes the Die Hard sequels, like most films that attempt them, did drop off significantly…but Bruce had little to do with it. More so, the story, script and direction take the blame.
@AT-cy7im Жыл бұрын
Can you do any better? Do numerous movies, make millions, raise 2 families and be super delightful, can you top that ????
@lanceash Жыл бұрын
@@AT-cy7im Oh my goodness, I didn't know that my comments would upset someone of your taste and sensitivity. But, you know, now that I think about it, such comparisons are, ultimately, relative. Considering all that I have achieved in my long and interesting life, I would have to say that, yes, I have actually done better. Tell Brucie I said hello, if he can remember your name.
