I agree. At least it is a bona fide interview though. There is some back-and-forth between him and Dave. If you pull up some clips of Rodney Dangerfield on The Tonight Show you'll see someone who is basically performing a monologue. After Rodney does his bit, he'll sit down with Johnny. However, if Johnny tries to say much at all, he just ends up throwing off Rodney's timing. The stand-up is a bit, and the interview is another bit.

@@DTR89 Nah. Stern relies on cheap tricks to get his information. Dave did it the hard way. He's a WAY better interviewer than Stern. Letterman was well past his funny years by 2011 but he was in the prime of his interviewing excellence. THAT is why it's so impressive Rock just takes this thing away from him and runs with it. Most people can't do that with Letterman.
