I just assumed she was already an actress in this appearance. She is excellent on camera, with her storytelling ability and with her facial expressions. I don't understand why Dave had to ask her to clarify her stories twice because I understood them perfectly the first time. The question about confusing her with Nastassja Kinski was good though. I just did the same thing, thinking Isabella had already been in Cat People by now, but that was a Nastassja film. Isabella's first American film was White Nights, two years after this appearance, followed a year later by the famous Blue Velvet. Ironically, Isabella did appear in a movie called Cat PERSON in 2023!

I had a friend in the 1980s in New York who was having success as a model, but she didn't like her nose. She got a nose job and got what she considered a perfect nose, and all the work dried up. Being unique is sometimes more attractive than being someone's view of ideal.
