I have thought of buying a glimmer machine but have not been able to justify it with a couple hundred dollars and only one was to use it. You and spellbinders have convinced me I can use it several ways. That is what was stopping me. I love that spellbinder’s is making new stuff every month with their kit.

Well, I just ordered one on Amazon (before the video was even finished!). I've loved the look of foiling, but, like you couldn't justify the cost. This video has convinced me otherwise, and I got a good price on Amazon (made better by using points from my credit card!).

I had accidentally bought a glimmer plate thinking it was a die cut plate, i dont have the glimmer machine so I returned it. Now i see the ink letter press technique,,,oooh lala! Great idea, beautiful cards!😍

How can you clean the embossing mat. Mine wants to stick to the paper. I’ve tried cleaning with stamp cleaner, baby wipes but it still sticks. Any ideas

Jennifer - 7:15 - I used my embossing mat for the first time last night - it left this sticky stuff all over my cutting plate. I had to use Goo Gone and then Dawn to wash it off. Pretty frustrating. Is that normal? What gives? Seems no one mentions this so I'm wondering if it's just me.

What foils can be used in a Spellbinders Glimmer hot foiling machine? I have Minc foils, Cricket holographic vinyl, and Mark Richards heat transfer vinyl.

So, with the ornament that has the oval cut from the center, is there some reason you didn't just foil and THEN cut the oval, rather than try to match up the cut out with the glimmer plate?

you could but the foil process gives a little impression that i didn't want to flatten. but you could. sorry i didn't mention that!

Can the glimmer machine be used with other die cutting machines? I still have my Sizzix brand machines. Along with my Gemini JR machine. I also have cuttlebug. Can glimmer machine be used with any of those ?

I think it works with the big shot and cuttelbug - but I would check the spellbinders site - i am not sure. There is a Gemini Foil Machine that works with the Gemini.
