Letterpress Printing a Gold Divers Helmet on an Etching Press

A short video from our Instagram feed. We are printing a photo polymer plate on our etching press. This design is of an antique divers helmet. It started out as an original drawing which was processed into a plate by boxcarpress.com. The etching press allows for a very deep impression! The ink is metallic gold relief ink form Van Son. It looks like liquid gold out of the jar but appears muted when printed on cotton paper.

You should turn the roller 'upside down' to roll out so that the 'feet' are uppermost. As it is, there is the risk of the feet scraping the image as you roll out.
