We have another video about "ought to". yes "ought to have" exists though in British English it's not used so much....but yes it's possible. I'll much answer your other questions in a future video.

I fell by chance on your channel. I couldn't stop binging your videos. I learned a lot, thank you very much. But my only regret is that for 30 years I still don't understand the usage of "might" . Every other modal verbs translated differently in French and make them somehow not that hard to understand (je voudrais,j'aimerais, je veux) but "I might" is really a mystery for me ;-)

Teacher, you could make a video, short, with some sentences where you use contractions. I would like to hear your comment about this example that I've come across recently in an exercise in a grammar book written by some American writers. There was this sentence about the possible causes of dinosaur extinction: Sentence: Probably, dinosaurs didn't survive the cold. (must not) -Rewrite --> Dinosaurs must not have survived the cold. Students are supposed to rewrite the sentences using the words in brackets. The rewrite is from the answer key; however, it does not sound right to me. It would sound more meaningful to me if it was like "dinosaurs might not have survived the cold" although I am not a native speaker. I am a fluent and a proficient speaker of English, though. :)
