Thanks for the video. Glad to see everything chucking along so far. I've started in the Rocky Desert again on my playthrough (those impure nodes in grasslands gets old really fast, plus the surprising lack of watersources there). Currently working on tier 3 stuff, but had happily forgotten just HOW MANY friggin' screws you need for everything in vanilla! Kmods, please hurry....or send help....I'm kinda screwed 🙂 Take care, and I'll look forward to the next one.

@@tehNashty Haven't unlocked any alternate recipes yet, so am thoroughly behind on screw production. SF+ recipes seemed to require a lot less screws than vanilla. Take care.

I get that. I don’t usually build large enough to require an obscene amount but I plan to change that this time through.

Yea, I actively look for Alternates. I like iron wire, cast screws and bolted plates. I usually have a pure node dedicated to rods and screws.

I'll get there. I keep flip-flopping on wanting to jump ahead to make neat SHORT videos or tutorials about the new stuff...or still NOT learning about it and just going slow. After so many back and forths, I think I'm going to keep the current course. I'd rather have fewer viral videos and MORE fun playing the game we all love most. I guess what I mean is...thanks! I'll check out that mode for sure in the next episode or 2. I can't WAIT to get building all the factories. It's been a very slow start but I think we'll ramp up. Once I have the solid foundation of basic items I'm planning, expansion will be much much quicker. I can't wait! My bday actually got in the way of playtime, so I expect a longer stretch next week.

very nice! my first milestone is usually obstacle clearing, for the solid fuel. then base building and logistics, and I build my power plant. then I start building my basic parts factory. Pastafarians lol brilliant.

That's the order I usually go in, too. I was playing a little vanilla before 1.0 released to get back into it and I had a good experience going in order...but I was in the northern forest without the nerfed nodes, and overbuilt the early game. Then I moved back to the grassfields for 1.0 and...didn't, so I was floundering. Having fun, but not making a lot of progress. Progress WILL ramp up quickly once I get CRADLE built and finished.

Dunno if I actually have ADHD... but I can relate to so many things when I hear about people with ADHD... for one, I rarely stay with 1 game for long... eventually a game turns into "routine" or some new shiny thing catches my eye, and I switch... It's why I never got into books... If i don't finish a book in 2 days, I'll forget it exists...

There are pretty decent self-diagnosing questionnaires you can find online. I brought it up to my doctor and he just referred me for testing. Took me almost two full years to schedule the testing...and then scheduling the follow-up after diagnosis to get meds. Another impact of the neuro-divergence.
