I’m not sure how other countries are, but in the US we call it a grilled cheese. It’s bread coated in butter with slices of cheese in between the bread. Bread gets toasted and the cheese melts. SO YUMMY.

A cheese sandwich is 2 slices of bread with butter ( u can toast the bread if u like) and then u can either slice or grate the cheese and put it in the bread! U could put it with salad, tuna, anything I suppose but a traditional cheese sandwich is just cheese! Just thought I'd give u a masterclass in cheese sandwiches

Hey Soph I don’t know about the uk but in the us we make our cheese sandwiches but buttering bread then putting the buyer side down on a hot pan add cheese and the other bread butter side up and flip as needed until the cheese is all melted and the bread has some crunch to it. Trust me it’s better than just bread and cold cheese 😂😂

Oh no. You cook the cheese sandwich you cook it in a pan on the stove or hob… some people use butter some use mayo and you use cheddar usually but you can pick any cheese you can make it fancy to and put bacon or different cheeses. We have it in America with tomato basil soup or just to have so delish! 😊
