And in making Crush, the band had no trouble harnessing the spirit of their explosive live show. “Some of these shows we’ve played over the past couple years have been so amazing, it’s like you go home a different person,” says Coomes. “I’m sure remembering those moments in our minds and our hearts helped bring out something special when we were recording these new songs.” So while Crush offers everything from all-out party jams to headphone-ready journeys into space funk, each track was born from an unabashed joy and love of live performance. “That energy we get when it’s prime time and we’re about to go onstage and we’re just excited beyond belief-that all came out on this new album,” says Deitch. “There’s a feeling that the band is rising, and it’s a really beautiful thing.”

I'm writing this comic. A superhero comic. Sometimes I daydream that is the music playing during the opening credits of the movie for it. Like the shots of dude driving through the city in his work truck from various angles attached to the truck. Also, some random shots of the city. Monuments and statues and the like. But like some of the shots change along with those dope trumpet blasts. And as the song closes, end credits, cue dialogue. Yeah, something like that.

Theres a chart somewhere that shows a-428 as mathematically harmonic and a440 as a disharmony. Apparently something to do with the Rockefellers. Piss poor job of explaining it but Google around and you'll find what I'm referencing.

@@YanaPineReflectorium Although it was 4 years ago, I believe it was a list of common tunings, a tuner (te tuner app), and a trained ear. I remember something about some rather high, sustained pitches that I used as a reference in the song. Again, if I can remember; I found the key that the song is in and then tweaked the tuning until the dissonance went away.
