Something about the one with the mother from the family of Blood. How she's literally being slowly sucked into not just the void of space, but an event horizon, and the Doctor stands there just feet away, close enough for the suction to still move his clothes, with just the deadest look on his face, then when she's gone, without changing expressions just turns and pulls the lever to leave is some of the coldest shit I've ever seen in a show.

Tenant was my favorite, because above all else, he had a darkness in him. It felt like he, above most others, was always on the brink of going "too far." Like one woman. He sends her off to do something, and lies to her, telling her she'll be fine. She died in the process. While her sacrifice was necessary, the fact he could so coldly do that... I don't think he was evil, but his cost/risk analyses was insane.

The characters and synergy between them and also the villans, daleks, cybermen and the master were executed so well I felt as though they were ruined with their doctors after, made to look weak and almost comedic as opposed to a true rival. Torchwood, DW and Sarah Jane adventures running simultaneously and collaborating so well, we've had nothing of the sort since.

There was always a darker side to the first few of the reboot Doctors and David Tennent really made it work for his characterization of the Doctor.
