I have these in a 10x52 and I notice 2 things. My girlfriend bought me a pair of Leupold 6x30 Yosemite’s. I never was a binocular snob. I grew up with K-Marts and Jason’s. I am a changed man but am still trying to wrap my head around the Alpines and McKenzies being even better
@strat10802 жыл бұрын
Those Yosemite 6x30 are really good. I own them along with the Vortex DB 8x32 and Leupold Alpine 10x42. I find a 6x and 10x are a very good combination for different types of hunting. Those Yosemite 6x30 were my first decent pair of hunting binoculars. At times I felt needed more magnification in really open country so I tried the Vortex DB 8x32 but was kind of disappointed in them. I then bought the Leupold Alpine 10x42 and am very impressed with their clarity and low light performance. The Yosemites are my still hunting binoculars in wooded terrain while my Alpines are my open country hunting binoculars. Those Yosemites are very hard to beat for what they cost.

The BX2 is pretty close to the BX4 and closer than you could ever imagine. For the price of the BX4 you may be better off with a Tract Toric instead. Or Vortex Razor HD (if they're still made in Japan) have a friend or relative in law enforcement or military or first responders line of work active or retired to buy it for you for 40% off at Expert Voice. Gonna throw my opinion in here. 8x42, 10x42 or 10x50 are all decent options for hunting. It really depends on where you are hunting, and what you need. But these are typically going to be your best option, because they offer plenty of zoom, while staying in a form factor that is light and easy to carry on your body. Also, staying in that 42-50 objective lens size offers a good field of view, and good low light quality.

@@reedcoon2230 I paid 100 bucks for them and at that price they blow other things out of the water. I have come to find that the BX-1Mckenzie 10x42 nocs don't have enough eye relief to be great while wearing glasses. They are awesome otherwise. They are clear and bright for their price point. I looked through some 10x52 BX-2 Alpine nocs and some Vortex diamondback 10x42's recently and the BX-2's in that size were a pretty clear step up from the BX-1. During Cabela's trade in sale it was possible to get the BX-2 10x52 for about 190 bucks. The vortex maybe had a slight edge in definition, like you could see a few more individual hairs on an animal across the store in Cabela's, but the BX-2 was way brighter (mostly due to the size difference probably). The BX-1 is a good binocular for it's price especially on sale, but I would step up to the BX-2 if you can. Highly recommend looking for near 19 mm of eye relief if you wear glasses.

@blakebeverly55634 жыл бұрын
Kevin Tolbert Their rangefinders have a two year warranty because of the electronic aspect of the instrument. The electronics will fail before the body and glass on their rangefinders. But, don’t let this detour you on getting a rangefinder from them. I bought a Leupold rangefinder several years ago. Back when angle compensation just came out. They finally crapped out in 2109. I had them forever and used the shit out of them. I sent them into Leupold for “repair” knowing they’d never be able to because they were so old. So they contacted me and offered me the latest and greatest model at a ridiculously discounted price. I was needing new ones anyhow so it was a no brained. That’s why I’ll always use Leupold optics. Unlike another brand that only sells and boasts off of their warranty. Leupold has the same warranty but, it’s rarely needed.
