I have found putting the intake manifold or egr coolers in the oven on the clean cycle really breaks down the carbon and makes it very brittle. it usually just crumbles and falls out with little to no effort at all.

Hello, what engine oil are you using for this engine? I have an ALH and people are telling me to stop using 15w40 because it may be harmful for the turbo... what do you think?

5w30 rotella. 15w probably too thick

@@gregs_garage but 5w30 is too light! I guess 10w40 would be good what do you think? The manual says 5w40 but i doubt a car that's 20 years can take 5w30 or 5w40
