Very glad to have found your channel. The things that help the most are: 1. Your clarity of pronunciation 2. The example sentences written out The other things I find most helpful from your other lessons are: 1. When you write out the transliterated order in English. It helps me to understand how the Arabic brain constructs a sentence (which I have found can take time to develop) 2. More examples utilising other prepositions (e.g. sometimes HE goes to school...etc). Does Arabic have reflexive verbs? By far my favourite Arabic videos on KZbin! شكراً!!

You may have noticed that I did not include any Arabic word for "never." As far as I understand, there isn't really any good translation for the frequency adverb "never" in Palestinian Arabic. The word بالمرَّة b-il-marra, which means "at all," in certain sentences could be translated as "never," but in other sentences this wouldn't work. Anyway, these are my conclusions after consulting with some native speakers and racking my brains for a few days haha. I would be glad to hear other people's thoughts on this!

Are you sure that ديما بنبسط كتير مع أهلي is correct? Should we say بنِنْبِسِط Otherwise, how would say you make someone have a great time.? Isn’t يبسط transitive and an ينبسط intransitive?

Great lesson and format! How would you say “lately” ? As in lately I’ve been watching too much tv. I would say something like bil fatre (e)l achire bashuf telefision aktar min al lazem, but I am wondering if there is a better way to say this . Thanks!

hel ayam = these days, and you pair it with the active present tense to say, "these days, I'm doing etc..." So for your sentence: hel ayam, am shuuf television... Hope this helps!!

كيف حالك تالي.. حلو الفيديو و الله يوفقك. بس انا عندي بعض الملاحظات عليه. 1- "مرات كثير" و ليس "كثير مرات" ... صحيح فيه ناس تستعمل كثير مرات. لكن انا استعمل في الغالب مرات كثير.. 2- that happens to me a lot بتصير معي كثير.. او بتصير معاي كثير . كلمة الاشي مش ضرورية الا في حال ان المتحدث يريد التركيز و التأكيد على الحادثة لأجل المصداقية. 3- I always eat healthy انا دائما بآكل اكل صحي. لازم كلمة اكل قبل كلمة صحي حتى لا يصير المقصود انه بياكل المواسير و القساطل تبع الحمام هههه.. طبعا فيه ناس مش عرب عم تتعلم العربي منك، و ما بدي اياهم يقولوا كلام يتبهدلون فيه او يهانون بسببه. 4- انا باركب القطار كثير صحيحة ، بس فيه كمان انا باطلع بالقطار كثير، او انا باطلع كثير بالقطار. و السلام عليكم.

هل انت من فلسطين او الاردن؟ لانه هي تعلّم اللهجة بتع هالدول ف اذا انت من لبنان مثلا رح تختلف اللهجة. بس يمكن في الأردن صح يقول كتير مرات ومش مرات كتير.

saint nectarios In Levantine Arabic the qaf generally turns into a glottal stop except for certain words where it is preserved. It depends on the area though. The Druze for example pronounce the qaf in all (or maybe most) words.
