i was inspired by this vid and i tried this with white sturgeon at san joaquin delta. the glitchy boat and rod was a pain in the butt, i swear it could induce a seizure lol. i didn't think id be able to catch it, because of the tension issue, but my game glitched for some reason and let me pull the fish up while my line was at around 25ft.... ended up catching a 50 pounder. it was dope, but a pain. definitely would not do again, it was fun to try though 😂

I've been using the HellTroy 23' rod (the regular 23' Troy rod works just as good since it's the same rod and to think I almost sold this HellTroy rod after I won it lol) with the Griffon Spod 10000 with Fluoro 12lb line and it works like a champ to catch Bull Sharks in the Amazonian Maze trying to level up to get to Congo just one more level and I'll be there already. I cast out to 42 feet wait for the bell to ring and the rings around the bobber then start using the trolling motor to go towards the shark to basically just pull them right out of the water. Use the reel on the first notch for the drag and you'll be fine only ones that will get away from you is the ones that go out of bounds if they get away from you otherwise you should be able to land the rest of them fairly easily.

31ft is to far, you have to cast within the hookset animation distance which is 19-21ft (or 7-8m). if your further than the hookset animation distance (pickup) it wont work. The first button pressed has to be hookset then hit the retrieve (this has to happen within the initial second of the float dipping) button.

I still run this technique with the Thora 9’6” with a 6000 hornet swarm ( could go a lil smaller) at blue crab but with the bass boat brings in pretty decent xp and without having to fight it for 45 mins and wearing the gear out

@@profishinjr4880 if your in FL I would say jus stick to bass kuz the bite is just to slow in the salt water section but if u really want to target them I run a 5/0 casting spoon the red glow in the dark one or a medium spoon 5-8/0 depending on if I jus wanna catch alotta fish or big fish specifically I’ll run a 8

something i dont get you can catch a piranha on a 7/0 hook when its the same size a bluegill and is a piranha a panfish?

I would think so, so long as it fits in a pan! 😉 Piranha are “nuisance fish” though, so they’ll go for pretty much any hook size, accidentally getting hooked when stealing your bait

From what I've seen, they have a tier system in place to pay different money per pound on the same fish. Maybe you caught it right on the edge of those tiers?
