Man what a band! I sure miss the original line up but this does sound fantastic! Their albums were played over and over in my Sony Walkman and my portable sound system that I had in the Eighties. Their music was a huge part of my life as a teen and growing up into an adult. Appreciating them so much that I took up drumming and guitar lessons to play some of their music. I ended up in two bands back then and jammed quite a bit to Level 42 songs. Some of the best days of my life back then. Now I am playing keyboards as well and guess who I am so influenced by with that! ✌😎

Hi again JULIAN! First I wanted to thank you for your encouraging words. I don't share such things easily as the situation seems to sadly become more real then and slaps one square in the face. But the feelings in my heart surely say if ever there was a time to be strong it is now! Hopefully in that time still alot of 42 music to enjoy and much of the time discovering the calm encouragement strength smiles and truths found within such beautiful and awesome lyrics that help beyond measure. All just like what you do and give Julian in your actions and words! 42 and you will never fully know how welcoming you all are especially in the middle of many long dark nights... Anyway another one of the 42 songs on the favorites list! A bit of tweeking on the words and it's a song that applies to many. Always love how Shawn makes that sax sing!! Thinking that tour name was so appropriate as that's exactly how long their music will last- an Eternity!! Thx as always Julian and catcha next vid...

A classic track that barely saw the light of day when Level 42 were in their hey day but then again fan's want the Hit's but then again fans' that have been with them since the start or in their hit year's (which is decades anyway) have always wanted more variety & I think that's why Level 42 have always endured for as long as they have as they have a massive back catalogue of hit's & other song's from their Album's or B Sides that were never played Live & are only seeing the light of day & being played now... Quite staggering to take in when you know & realise that Level 42 have in one form or another keep Touring Live since they formed & I think that's why the Fan's would take a whole Live Concert of songs they haven't played Live in Decades over the constant playing of Hot Water/Love Games/Chinese Way/Mr Pink et al... All great tracks as are many more but I'd take a whole set of lesser played songs & instrumentals than listening to the same set they've been playing for decades... Sure they through in a few oldies or less played tracks but I don't think Level 42 realise that the fan's would want them to play all the old song's & track's that they rarely play... I was looking forward to seeing them when they kicked off their 40th Anniversary " From Eternity To Here Tour " on the 07th of October 2020 but who knows if we will be back to normal by then because of this Coronavirus... I have my opinions on Covid-(19) as do many millions worldwide & we will get our say eventually but for now stay safe & healthy where ever you are in the world... Ps This Bass he is using is the only one that's been anywhere near sounding as good Live as were the John Diggins Supernatural Series he used as those high end Status Basses he has used for decades suck live & just sound so empty & thin... I owned one & though a great overall bass the Status just can't cut it in the mid/treble range of the back pick up all the while adding bass on top of that sound & the JD Supernatural Series could do this effortlessly to the point many bought them & still do because of the sound Mark got but I'm sure Mark knows this & is tired of hearing of fans saying the sound he gets with the Status range he uses can't cut it & as much as I love the band & they're really down to earth funny guys, you don't stick with an instrument that's detrimental to your sound unless your being paid to be the poster boy or girl of them & Mark can dismiss this as much as he wants & it's the same with his change of using more effects pedals Live & TC Electronics have a great poster boy in Mark King to sell their product... I don't mind this as Bill's need paying but don't piss down my leg & then tell me it's raining as fan's can see right through that BS... Here's to many more years of Touring by Level 42 & everyone stay healthy & All The Best where ever you are in the world... Enjoy... .....
@greatwhite61967
@greatwhite61967 4 жыл бұрын
@Brian Clark Agreed as Mark has been doing a lot of promoting of the TC Electronic Pedals for year's now & as I've always said to the die hard fans that prefer their earlier songs " Bill's need to be paid " If they ever wanted to play more tunes that were like their earlier jazz rock fusion they could & would do them Live or perform them more once they were free from a record company always on their back for hits but some people don't want to know the real truth of what it's like being in a band as I do & did & you literally have to sell your soul to them at the start & hope your successful be able to buy it back from them when you've got financial security to do so... In Light of the coronavirus stay safe & take care... .....

Well I think the last 20 years since Mark reformed the band 7 years before Mike returned , Mark realized it was good to play both hits and deep album classics fans loved and they loved playing that needed to be heard . Their sets are never boring , sad the original lineup never reunited yet Marks bro Nathan has been brilliant in Boons place, Sean Freeman on sax and Lyndon did great on keys . Gary Hisband though many level fans don't care for is a monster drummer and was a great addition for many years .Pete is a great drummer too and is more like Phil Gould in his style and thats why I think he resonates more with level 42 diehards , Pete is a great groo e drummer and at the heart of level 42's sound is always been a killer groove ! Wish I would have the chance to see them live but I'm in the states and I think its a long shot they ever tour here again , the money isn't their
