This is the Ellerman Street level crossing at Dimboola. It is located in western Victoria on the branch line from Dimboola to Rainbow which is only used for grain and sees very few trains. Apart from Cemetery Road, Dimboola, this is the only crossing on the line to be protected by signals, with all other crossings having passive protection.
These signals were installed on November 24, 1987. All four signals have unmarked bases and a mixture of marked and unmarked Westinghouse LED lights. A Safetran Type 3 electronic bell is provided on the eastern side of the crossing, while the western median signal has an Artcraft healthy state indicator. For some reason the signals remain activated until train has cleared all track circuits for the crossing, this results in fairly long activation times so some scenes have been edited to reduce the video length.
