As a souls veteran. I can say learning every enemies tactics is about 50% of the skill. Everything else is timing. Trust me. Itll come as it goes along. And every souls player farms. So this helps us too. Thank. Keep up the good work.

The portal you found was actually marked on my map after I got my first deathroot and spoke to a weird knight about it. If you feed the deathroot to the weird creature in the building you got teleported to you get items.

Yeah, D in Roundtable Hold tells you how to get there. I think some people find it on accident before that though when they see the blue light in the bushes behind the church. There's also a half dead dragon in the area you can slay for 50k Runes(more with the Gold Scarab and/or Gold Pickled Fowls Foot); takes a long time if you don't have a Bleed weapon to deal a percentage-based burst of damage.

@@vlonely Once you teleport from the Third Church of Marika to the Bestial place where you turn in Deathroot you should find him if you scout the roads back near Fort Farroth. Grab a bleed weapon and slash the tail, away from all other enemies. It's 50k base souls, more if you add the Gold Scarab and Gold Pickled Fowl's Foot.

One of my favs for casters is the small lake with the 2 smaller dragons in it close to the grace point at Dragonbarrow Fork, which is close to the north part of Caelid. You can stand on the cliff, yeet rocks at them, and get around 5k runes per dragon. Can easily farm 15k in about 5 min if you get the last one hiding near the downed tree.

Also there is the dragon maybe fifty feet north I think as long as you have bleeding damage you can just swing on it for a little get 5 dragon garments and if you take a pickled foul foot befor killing it you will also get 64k runes but nothing will attack ack you do it

Use the grace at Lenne's Rise go down the "hill" until a ball spawns stand close to the cliff, let the ball fall down(very important is to watch the ball while it falls down) +2k runes tp to Lenne's Rise and repeat until you have as much as you want, dont know if its faster than this but its definitely easier

Just so everyone is aware, it's not that Site of Grace (Lake North) in particular that gives you the mount. I got mine at the one right next to the castle gate. I believe the event is just triggered after your first few Sites are rested at. It doesn't have to be that one. Also, I'm pretty sure he's sneaking up and hitting R1 to use his sword, not L1 (which would use his shield).

There is a spot I've found; it's a single enemy about 30 yards from a site of grace. Location is the Divine Tower of Caelid: Basement just past the area in your video. He drops almost 1800 runes. He only takes about 48 seconds to kill by simply using jump strong attack 3 times until he falls down and hit him with a critical attack. He will one hit you, so you have to stun lock him like I described, but I've got it down perfectly. I'm only level 20, so it's not too bad

@5:26 No, go inside the building after entering the portal. There is a site of grace in there. When you rest, Melina (or someone) visits you and takes you to The Hold. There's also some thing chained up in there that asks you for deathroot. Not sure about it. It doesn't attack you though and neither does the statue of you leave it/them alone

There’s a bowling ball thing up north from there that gives you 2000 and it kills itself Then you just teleport back to the checkpoint thing which is 5 seconds from there and do it again. You can get like 6000 runes in under a minute with no risk or skill needed. If you want I can look up the names and how to do it.

You can farm 5000 runes at the field of giants near the warmaster's shack pretty easily using mounted combat. The nearby grace site makes for quick mob resets too so you can repeat the process to your heart's content

Dont bother. This gets you at least 9k runes every minute if you arent just sneaking around. Using Glintstone pebble I used 1 flask and killed 9 of them by this grace site. There are more too but I was in a hurry. You could easily be getting 10k runes from this farm each 60-90 seconds.

Don't know if anyone has found it yet. But if you go to the impassable bridge in caelid. There are soldiers that fight the dog/wolf things. You can lead an alpha and two more plus the bird guy if you're careful. Hop up on the farthest cliff and let them fight. Great farming area and low to mid risk.

Well for those who don't know there was also a semi dead dragon boss just ahead the dragon on the bridge across the tree to the west, it was gaurded by small dragons, u can sneak in with the horse and kill it to get some fast runes, better to get the gold pickled foul finger, as it gives 30% boost to runes drop and the morning star weapon, cos it builds over the bleeding damage, if i remember correctly it gives like 10k runes.

You are so close to a much better ruin farm site. If you take the lower path to the other side of the bridge through some poison traps there is a site of grace for Lenne's rise (by a sealed tower). From there if you go down the hill following the path under the bridge a bolder will spawn behind you just before you reach the bridge and follow you. It can easily one shot you early game, but if you use your mount and turn around to your right running back up along the edge of the cliff right after it spawns it will run off the edge of the cliff trying to chase you and give you 1952 ruins, then you can just run back to the site of grace and run down the hill again. Easily twice as fast to ruin farm as this video and you can do it just as early.

glad I picked this vid to watch. This was a massive help right when I needed it, I have farmed for runes early and milked that well dry and leveling up wasn't efficient anymore and I was at level 69 and farmed this with golden bird talons I learned to craft and farm the ingredients and did laps around this spot of these higher level creatures which are perfectly spread out, you have tons of room to see them and attack, they are all on their own pretty much so you fight them all one at a time and there are way more then 3 there are like 15 or so of those guys in there and you just run that course and rest at whatever you call it at the foot of the bridge and do it all over again over and over; yeah I get it, that that's farming but here when you are at the level to run these guys over and it not being hard to kill each one, you can run the laps fast and get like 20,000 runes a run by first learning to craft the golden bird talon and getting that armorer's cookbook you need for it, it is so worth the time getting that and cooking up those things giving you a 30% rune boost for 3 minutes. I am current at level 88 and hit that thing for a couple hours, like using 20 golden bird talons of farming but this really is a great early game spot when you are done with the early stuff and played awhile and strong enough to farm these guys you go from that level and skyrocket to such higher levels just added levels to faith to get protection spells from the rot and poison, pump a lot of points into vigor, edurance, you just run this course and you are leveling up every couple of runs and if you can cook up 20 golden talons and get 30% extra runes and milk this place to level up faith so you can go get the golden scarab and then come back here and get an additional 20% runes and this place can be farmed with pretty good efficiency and for quite a while, or at least you will be pretty boss when you find the next farming spot and really start farming runes. Thanks for posting this vid, it was perfect timing watching this, it helped a ton. I highly suggest people share this vid.

I found some direction by just trying to clear out gatekeep ruins for a while, then i looked up some builds and went with spell blade. got the spells, tried the boss, dead, got the gear tried the boss, dead, then finally realized i could use followers and felt dumb. i got that mofo to 4-5 carrian slices from death so many times without the shackle or any summons, but it probably helps to have been through that. now ive done more research and know which OP early game weapons and what i need to replace them with. im gonna do some exploring tonight. i wanted to b line to getting some amount of power together so that the starting areas arent as grueling

I'm only level 21 and this is going to help me to level up quick. The little guys were not that easy at my level unless they do not get off that special attack. If you are a mage class and get the meteorite staff early and the rock sling spell that's in the same area as the staff(Caelid - Street of Sages Ruins) you can just run around on the horse and bump that up to about 23k every 10 min depending on your FP flask charges and level. If you learn the placements of each of these guy you can get a good loop going.

You can honestly skip the whole flask part and just go straight to the portal. Btw I'm samurai class which may help in this. Then find the first enemy at 6:35 and kill it. Then just go back to the grace site you were at, do whatever with your runes (i usually leveled up) or don't use runes then the enemy will spawn again and then just repeat the same process. You don't even have to kill all those enemies you can just keep doing the same guy.

Honestly, even those giant guys with their intestines splayed out and the swords on their backs. They are 1000 runes a piece and quite predictable for attacks. Easy to dodge.

Theres actually a way easier rune farm only a few minutes away from where this one is. It's at the site of grace called Lenne's rise just a little to the south of the one in this video. Theres a hill and when you go down it a giant ball spawns and if you just finesse it into rolling off the cliff itll give you 1950 runes each time and you can pretty easily do it 2 or 3 times a minute possibly 4 if you get really good at it.

Fastest method I found on my own was the two giants carrying the carriage in Limgrave. You spawn at the grace where pumpkin head is, you can mount in there and run right outside they will be reset every time you tp back to it. Fastest way is using glintstone arc and shooting sideways through them while targeting the back one so you can cleave them. Obviously this is the super farmable as astrologer starts with arc. You can buy it from Sellen in the basement if you don't have it otherwise. It nets 2k per run and depending on your int it's like

There's also a spot where you can farm runes by doing absolutely nothing. The Impassable Greatbridge in the south of Caelid. Dash through, activate the Site of Grace, rest at it to reset it, then, hop on Torrent, dash over to the wood pile next to the wooden barricades behind you. Then, run over to the left, jump up onto the cliff overlooking the dogs and soldiers. They'll start fighting. Easy ~4000 runes, and all you have to do is reset at the Site, and trigger the fight again.

If you continue to pass that black dragon and go a bit of ways there is a large, ancient white dragon. Get a bleed weapon and rack damage against it and it will give you roughly 50,000 runes and won't fight back. If you kill it on Torent and run back to the nearest Grace fast enough you can put him on rince repeate (as he'll be as he was never killed in the first place). It's pretty slow paced because he has a lot of health, but he doesn't fight back. Be wary of the dragons around him. There are better farming spots late game, but keep up the good work.

this is a nice farm spot beyond what you mentioned. you take down the 3 you showed, and if you cross the road from the site of grace, there's 4 more of these guys. with the +runes scarab you get from the one boss fight, this is an easy 9k farm for 3-4 minutes of work, with an SSD load to site of grace and start over, easy peasy.

I actually start at the most northern Site Of Grace and work the entire area. There’s are a lot of those enemies. With the Golden Scarab Tailsman it’s about 1300 per kill times 15-20 enemies.

Just checked this out and it's pretty crazy how fast it goes. Key thing is that you'll need to be already somewhat leveled up with a decent weapon in order to take these guys down relatively fast. I was at lv. 24 with a +4 Uchigatana and it still took 2 hits (sneak attack for around 850dmg + unsheath) to kill them. There's a video by boomstick gaming that will get you to the point where you can clear out these mobs decently.

If you have some kind of ranged attack, the two Giant Crows at the Rotview Balcony cannot attack you from up there and they're right by a site of grace. Rocksling for a mage and a bow for anyone else should be able to hit them and kill them from the safety of the balcony. Each one is worth 1781 on their own, but with the Gold-Pickled Foul Foot, they're worth 2315 apiece. That's 4630 Runes each time you kill the two of them, from a position where they can't attack you right next to a site of grace.

This is an excellent early game farm. Thank you for the video. Just a quick word though, with a +2 uchigatana I was able to do just as much damage to the Vulgar Militia without the flask of physick. So after running around the area for about 5 minutes I was able to amass 10K plus souls killing all the monsters plus getting a pretty decent drop of the their armor.

I found a farm spot up in the top right of the map. Sellia under stair. It’s more for mage/ranged characters but the bugs in there give you 950 tunes per death and there are about 8 of them 4 in the main area and 4 more deeper in the cave. Also there are glint stone zombies that give you about 250 had like 20k runes in a half hr if that

It probably isn't worth it for you now but I found a really early spot you can do as a mage, you just need to go get the rock sling spell before you can do it. In Caelid at the Rotview Balcony site of grace, there's a cliff like 3 feet away with two birds under on a tree, that give roughly 1800 runs per kill. You can just stand on the cliff and blast them with rock sling and they will not be able to reach you as they jump down. I'm able to kill both of them in roughly 30 seconds, so I get about 7000 runes per minute with no risk involved, and no travel time. Just sit at grace and repeat.

Only one adjustment I would suggest to this... Just kill the first guy and reset at Grace, repeat. It's much faster than having to go chase down another one farther away. I also hop on torrent and hop up on the rock to prep so I can see it's movement and what direction its facing. A few times I would round the corner and it's looking right at me and I get attacked, this prevents that.

In my early play through I used the Sellia crystal cave to level up fast. The crystal miners give you roughly 200 runes a piece and the pests give you around 600 each. There’s like 12 miners and 7 pests. Then there’s the Fallingstar Beast boss fight when you reach the top.
