I forgot to add one detail Doh! in the temple of the ancients there is an EXP boost materia.. I don't think It was shown in the video. After reaching the Amberstar Chamber in the temple, you'll need to shift the gravity and then follow the path upward to get the Materia

PSA you can also just do the cat quest in nibelhiem in hard mode, super easy and gets you a shitload of exp. Went from 52 to 65 in about 10 minutes, and just do it again

think ima need to do this to get the Gengi proto relics.. Them double summon fights are TUFF at 50 i was shocked ... Haven't beat a single one also haven't really tried too much wanted to grind levels before coming back.

This won't take you long to get 70. The tag team fights are manageable at 70 and with the right set up.

First strike materia will give you one full bar. You can also use ATB boost as well

AP does carry over. It’s Gil that gets reset.

Gil and AP gets reset when you retry a battle. If you were to complete this whole fight then reset the chapter would be different. We dont complete the fight we retry the battle. Just to make sure I was not mistaken, I bought a new time materia and repeated the same farm and it was still at zero on retry battle. Thank you for your comment

Daft question, but does farming xp give you any advantage if i were to do it earlier before end game?

All your base stats will go up. yes, would make your game a bit easier. Most people do it to take on the optional bosses after they beat the game. All this reallly is so they can go into hard mode fully maxed out. Hard mode has the challenge of not being able to use items. A rest Stop will only replenish your HP; your remaining MP will remain unchanged. The only way to restore your MP is by using a Broken Rest Stop at Chocobo Stops and using a Cushion.

There is another advantage as one of the achievements is to Get all teh max limit breaks... And for that you will need to fil out teh Folio's... You gain SP with levels, so Levelling up means you can TOTALLY COMPLETE the Folios and unlock EVERY ABILITY!

You can do this before ending the game. Just make sure you are retrying the battle and never finish. You won't have the option to restart the chapter until you finish the game.
