I love pumpkin pie! I've never seen that recipe and am so intrigued! I copied down your instructions and will trying it soon! I enjoyed watching you make and roll out your pie dough. I've never been a huge fan of baking cookies (I like to eat them, though 😉) and I can take or leave most cakes. But pies? They were my thing! I loved making and rolling out the crust and then filling it. And it's still my favorite dessert! Your hand pies or pop-tarts (it is almost an insult to the gems you made to call them that 😂) looked delicious! And clever Chloe making her own creations with the scraps was adorable. I keep meaning to say how lovely it is to hear Christmas carols in your videos. ❤

Momma would roll out the pie crust scraps and put butter , cinnamon and sugar all over it . Then roll it and cut it into little cinnamon rolls !!! Bake them and we loved them !!! I miss those days . Thank you for sharing!!!! God bless !

I was the pie baker at Der Dutchman restaurant and we called this pie Amish pumpkin. Your right, it is more of a custard pie than the traditional off the pumpkin can recipe.

When I do my pie crusts, I wet my counter top with a wet dish cloth, place a piece of wax paper over the dampness, flour the wax paper, roll out my crust on the wax paper, the when I'm ready to transfer it to my pie plate I simply start at one end of the wax paper and roll it and the crust up around the rolling pin, then unroll it over my pie plate. No sticking! But your pies look absolutely delicious!! Love this series of videos!

The pies turned out amazing. From the thumbnail I was thinking they were custard pies. And your daughter brought back childhood memories for me. When my mom would make pies, my little sister and I would take the scraps and make our own hand pies. We got to pick which jam we wanted to have inside. Strawberry always seemed to be the winner. My Mom always made what we called roly poly's with the extra pie crust. she rolled it out spread a little butter, cinnamon, and sugar and then rolled into a log and cut couple inches long and baked them. I'm going to try your pie crust recipe, mine is just like yours but without the egg. Merry Christmas.
