Now I know how to implement the mindset shift practically. I’ve always ran into a wall intentionally thinking I just need more getting used to it. I kept forgetting self-reflection was necessary.

Interesting timing, I just started listening to “Mindset” by Carol Dweck and it’s about this exact thing. Growth mindset is the key.

What a coincidence! This just posted right after I finished the book chapter discussed in the video! Mindset by Carol Dweck is such a great read so far.
@S4tchm010 ай бұрын
Great book indeed! (Just a little note: 'by far' is only used when talking about the extremes (in this case 'best' or 'worst', but in other cases 'hottest' or 'coldest', etc., you get the idea). 'Such a ...' implies what you are talking about belongs to the category of great books, but is not the best or worst. So these two don't work together. Examples of correct usage would be something like 'Mindset by Carol Dweck is such a great read!' or 'Mindset by Carol Dweck is the best book by far!', but don't forget: these two also have different meanings! Hope this helps, I truly wrote it with the best of intentions!)

I looked at your website, looked promising but in my currency it's just feel so expensive. Here my per day expenses including food to shelter amenities and stationary is about 8$ compared to that as master student it looks like I can't afford it. I am improving just fine with these KZbin videos keep up the good work.

Hey @divyangverma9880 You can contact our support team and request for a scholarship if you have any financial difficulties from accessing the program. Likewise, you can continue to watch our YT videos and still improve from these videos :)

Although I understand how valuable it is to shift my mindset, I was thinking about how difficult it will be. But hey I realised, this is precisely the fixed mindset again! I was scared of failing to shift my mindset :/

Good reflection here! @josephyeak4233 Make sure to spend the time to implement what we've gone through in the video to conquer your fixed mindset tendencies.

Ive been trying to do this but really struggling with developing it in school in particular. In other aspects of life, I def have more of a growth mindset but just cant shake this feeling

Hey @tims5465 What we find is that a lack of deliberate tracking causes learners to not be able to see their efforts when it comes to growth mindset. I encourage you to keep a bank of reflections you can make reference to when demotivated!
@justlc710 ай бұрын
Hi , thanks for the video. I had a few queries regarding the reflections part, can you give an example of how it would look like if I had reflections on multiple topics and not one, for example, I am prepping for JEE and I have an error log, how should one go about this?
@icanstudystudent10 ай бұрын
Hey @justlc7, great question! What you should do from the error log is: 1. Group You can group your errors by how similar they are. By grouping these errors together, you can identify trends, patterns and common weak points that will hold you back during the actual exam. 2. Prioritise Not all mistakes are as critical as one another. One mistake might cost you 2 marks, another mistake might cost you 20. In your reflection, focus on the over-arching mistakes first. This should help fill in other lower-order gaps. If you have time, you can then shift your focus to more minute mistakes.

Can I join ICanStudy if I don’t have a particular subject or topic I’m currently learning? I’m only focusing on improving my Spanish. Besides that, I’m not really learning a subject like math or biology, etc.

for me i take my mourning hours to audit my inner voice using david Goggins technique that he discussed in his book never finished, for embracing challenges i get a number of challenges to do when i am playing the video game dwarf fortress,for progress i track my progress through a an obsidian calendar is this approaches align with the video way of developing growth mindset?,i look for feedback
@icanstudystudent10 ай бұрын
Hey @dalyoab924 , Definitely, any form of tracking and acknowledging these thoughts is key. By using the method you are, you're already doing a lot more than most other learners will be doing. Keep it up!

It's never too late to start! In fact, having this mindset is a fixed belief. I encourage you to use the reflection template on the downloadable worksheet and start your process of transformation. Most people try before deciding that they can't do it Nowadays, people decide they can't do it before they try
