Maybe do a video where you paint a couple sets of the old trees and then combine those pieces with this tower and the manor and fences you painted up previously to show a board with a crossroad on the edge of a forest. Then even do a quick battle with 2-3 units. Perhaps 8 minutes to paint, 4 to set up and then 8 minutes for a small skirmish. Your pink squig proxy and a unit of brettonian footmen might have a misunderstanding over right of way. Just a thought for a fun video to pull it all together. Scenery, set up, battle. Your channel is great! Appreciate all your hard work.

Nice one 👍🏻 I have a video idea you should kitbash the new Grombrindal White Dwarf mini onto a Square Base, I’m planning to do mine at some point and will probably need to cut him off the base and maybe magnetise his feet so it can go back on the display base when not playing

Keep up with the old world content!! Would love to see a board built and more scenery etc! I’m still working on my averland army and when my extension work is done at the house I cannot wait to start a board built myself. For me looking at the minis is cool, but having a really cool board diorama is where it’s at! And 100000% you should get into mordheim, making the war bands and the cool ass scenery etc! Keep up the amazing work dude

This would make an excellent tower for the really fun tower special rules in the Old World book. You could do a simple narrative battle report with those rules and the hold the tower scenario.

The tower looks really fantastic. Now that I'm a homeowner, I have a lot more space for boards and terrain, and I'd really like to pick up kits like this. In the future, I think it would be neat to see the still images of the "finished" model and then at the end you have the "really finished" model to show the difference between techniques.

The skeleton is a Signal, the symbols themselves would be unique to an army, and there relative positions would indicate formations and battle tactics from general command to unit level.

It’s a tower of the vampire lords. This tower is most often by either the empire or the bad moon orcs. The semaphore indicates which faction is currently attacking

Great video Andy! I think about the only thing is that it is a Skull Tower... I'm pretty sure that health and safety isn't a concern, so it seems counter intuitive to me to have hand rails on the stairs. If someone falls off, meh! More terrain videos would be great especially on large features that have to be fought over, rather than treated as impassible.

Hahaha very true, maybe that's where all the skulls came from- the bottom of the stairs :D

Always fun to see how people do the old buildings, I have a stack of them myself. The one thing that gets me a little bit though, and this is a GW fault not hobbyists, is that their version of brass is actually bronze. Bronze made from mostly copper and tin has that orangey metal look, with the tin being added to retard the corrosive effects of verdigris. Brass, made from zinc and copper. is a more golden colour. Kind of like gold that ran in the wash and now looks too pale. But I did like the moss type finish you did. Never been quite so sure as how to apply it, though I don't have those technical paints.
@MediocreHobbies5 ай бұрын
It's worth picking up some to test out! I know what you mean about the brass as well, just a weird thing they have done for years!
@canuckchuck88366 ай бұрын
Awesome! Have you figured out how to seal the Dirty Down products so they do not get reactivated through handling/humidity/accidental water splashes? Everything I have tried takes away all the colour variation and makes the DD products look as dark as they do in their bottles.
@mikewicked.x6 ай бұрын
Looks amazing - agreed, hope this (and others) come back as MTO. Do you seal the Dirty Down paints? I've had issues with some of the "old" paint jobs I've got where I used it where it looks like ambient humidity has reactivated it on the model. It's changed colour with time anyway.
