Buying a full size travel trailer next week. We've had 2 pop up campers and I just used the manual stabilizer jacks to level. LOL. I didn't have a clue. Thanks for showing me the right way.

Congratulations! Hope you have fun in your new camper. I mean there are several ways to do it. But this one is by far the most practical way for me to do it. Thank you for watching. Glad we were able to help :)

When leveling with the tongue, do you unhitch the truck first?

Buying a trailer this weekend and solo traveler. So how do you do this without someone else helping? And how do you know how many blocks to use?
@HidalgoMotorsCo2 жыл бұрын
Start with one first and go up from there. If you have two devices you should be able to FaceTime yourself or video call yourself to have a camera outside haha
@HidalgoMotorsCo2 жыл бұрын
If not, then do it very slowly and get out of your vehicle to check out.

All leveling must be done from inside is that correct? The side to side must be placed at the door entrance? Thx! Great to know video.

How you can do this at grass ? I have my RV at my patio and it don’t have concrete please help…
@HidalgoMotorsCo2 жыл бұрын
You can dig your patio just enough to get leveled sideways. And put flat wooden surface or pads under the jack to help level it

You can also use mud seals, I use treated 1" × 12", and cut them a few inches larger than the feet on my trailer jacks. You can even buy them, I can't remember what they're called, jack pads, mud seals. I had a set for my outriggers on my bucket truck when I was a lineman. They also use them to level really large overhead cranes. They lift the wheels way off the ground too!

A jack foot would be a good idea. It would keep the jack leg from digging in and make the front jack more stable. Great video.

Great video brotha. Thank you. I have A question. I have the same hitch as you. I've only used That weight distribution stabilizing hitch twice before. And it never made any loud noises when I hit a bump or backup. But I pulled my trailer yesterday and it seemed like when I backed up and made a real loud rubbing sound. Or like a screeching noise and I know it was coming from those bars that are connected to the hitch to the side of the trailer. So I was just wondering brother if you ever had that problem ?? I appreciate it .
@hectorjasso11742 жыл бұрын
I just got mine and I hear the same noise. Everything was setup for me and I didn't hear those noises but when I put everything back together I hear the noise now. Did you ever figure it out?

Huge mistake. The door must be closed or it will throw it out of square..
@Threedog1963 Жыл бұрын
Maybe on a popup. The frame on a full size travel trailer won't be thrown out of square/level. Also, how would you see the level if the door is closed?
@tonjastarnes1703 Жыл бұрын
@@Threedog1963 Well most late model RVs have levels on front ,back and sides. The older models do not. And yes the door being open will throw it out of square. I have been in the RV park business a long time and 4 put of 5 the doors will not close correctly after leveling with the door open. This only my personal experiences and what I have witnessed..
