my 3 friends are all my age (16) and yes , newbies to planetside , but when we started playing the beta we all loved it even when defending the most obscure outpost . But now we've defended the crown , an experience we will never forget we are all hooked.

The game has a huge, awesome built in VOIP system with multiple communication channels; when I got my beta key, I just started playing and met some people. Now I play with them all the time.

It is being worked on and optimized all the time. The Dev's understand that many people dont have a good PC, and want it to be able to run at a min. of (30?) FPS for people with lower end PC's.

Planetside 2 could become a RTS if they added some kind of commander position, that would give orders to attack certain points or to flank around an enemy. But I think it's called brain power, seeing a tank platoon attack the front, you would go to the back and others would follow you.

Just got into the beta and slowly falling in love with it. I never played Planetside 1, but it reminds me of a mix of Battlefield 3 meets MAG. but on a much bigger scale. My biggest problem.. besides mostly seeing the deployment screen is trying to decide which faction I like the feel of best. Why are there so many NC players compared to other factions? Keep up the great vids lvl.

the weapon lock can be annoying when your "teammates" jump intentionally into your line of fire when you are shooting and then you get weapons locked for 10-30 minutes or whatever is the timer. And after when it ends, there is always someone who intentionally jump in front of you and you get lock again for ages. But i understand someway why it is there

Supposedly Mac support is going to be a post-release thing, but who knows how long that will be (if ever). Even so, you can just run Bootcamp + Win7 and the game will run fine. That's what I do.

Technically, I think the Vanu weapons fire a plasma-type round instead of straight up lasers. They have bullet drop, but it's so slight people rarely notice it. =P IE - HA launchers do have drop, but not enough to notice it unless you do a long range shot. The carbines' drop is so small, unless your looking for it specifically (and you're not in a firefight =P) you will not notice it lol.

seriously press the F key to heal yourself and others around you, you can still help out your team 'up on the tiny rock of cover' even if you dont want to revive them

TR, they seem to have the best teamwork when I play... VS have a bunch of cool stuff but it's fairly solitary in a squad (not much chatting and no waypoints etc) NC are good but the best thing about them is the bolt driver sniper rifle

Wish I could goto Vegas for this convention, Have fun. About the game releasing in 2012.. I find it VERY hard to believe in less then 3 months the game will release, a ton of certs are still bugged.. Med kit has been bugged for 2+ months. Platoon tools are still bugged for weeks, the new recent revelation of a guns FPS is tied to framerates.. They have way too much work for a 2012 release

But there are alot of broken things that should not make the initial launch in the first place, Every mmo gets better and bigger with time.. PS2 is a team game, yet its fundamental team organising ingame (squads/platoons/outfit page) are rather bugged and crud atm.

Its either your pc, your internet or the server you're playing on causing the lag. Have you tried turning down the graphics? The game is very demanding at high graphics, because of the huge amount of players everywhere.

If you check out r/planteside or r/betakeys on reddit people post beta keys for people to just have. If I get another key, I'll let you know ^_^ Or if you pay for the Alpha Squad package which is $40 you can get in now and they will send you a second key for a friend. That's how I got in, supporting these guys so they can make the best game they can is definitely worth it imo.
