Yup, totally agree! You could see it in SW:BF as well (which they made too, obviously). It's VERY well done, the best in a EA game thus far IMO (In fact, a friend of mine, who loved the beta, but was disapointed with the release version of Battlefront, still praised this about the game, he was really damn impressed with it, while watching me play :P). It looks like DICE is clearly using it on BF1 as well, and it's great to see :-)

This is probably my favorite video of Battlefield 1 I've seen so far. The videos discussing it are really cool and good to know and all, but to see and hear some genuine gameplay and communication within a squad is really cool and makes the game look even better. I want to play the game more than ever now and can't wait for EA to stop teasing us and just give us the beta dates.

Yes, I noticed that too. I tried to think of a better HUD though, but nothing is really appropriate. The blue tint of BF3 or the greyness of BF4 doesn't really fit. The BF2 HUD is nice, but I think it might be a bit obsolete.

I'm okay with that That way you're not exiting a vehicle only to get gunned down slowly coming out of the door, but getting into an armored vehicle somebody can stop you while you're still vulnerable. I think it works pretty well and I'm okay with it.

Tanks SHOULD be something to fear, just like snipers. They are not really OP if you are aware of your surroundings and watch out for any approaching vehicle. If every class has some way of disabling tanks, that'd be pretty fucking boring.

They really need to change the reload of the P-08. They have heel magazine releases; you can't drop the mag one handed like that, pretty much gotta pinch and pull with your non firing hand. Most European pistols had heel mag releases; several modern very small frame automatic pistols still do.

I think the sun is super bright so it can provide an advantage to anyone defending a hill because it will blind the attackers. It might also help in a dogfight if you attack the other plane with the sun to your back so he is blinded

Ok so new game mode idea. Tell me what y'all think. So I think that dice should have a game mode that is modeled off of something like from the game Verdun. Basically you'd have two nationalities (duh). Let's just say that it's germans vs. British. So each team spawns in their own trench line facing each other. The British would be ordered to charge, and the objective would be to clear the German front trench line. To keep the British from just hanging out in their own trench, they could have it where after a certain amount of time (15 seconds perhaps?) their trench would become out of bounds. Or if they wanted to be super realistic, a certain number of players (like 4 out of 32 per team or maybe all squad leaders) would be officers and have their own kit. Their job when attacking would be to make sure their squad charges and if not then they can shoot any people hanging back. Anyways the attacking team would/could have air support (no behemoths) and mortar fire. The defending team would have dugouts, machine gun nests, bunkers, and artillery. To keep the defending team from charging into no mans land, no mans land could be out of bounds. The attacking team would have a certain number of tickets to take the defending trench line. If taken, then the Germans would retreat and the British would then have to defend this trench line from the attacking Germans. If they fail and run out of tickets, they would have to retreat. The Germans would then assault the British trench. To win, a team has to take all of the enemy trenches. Thoughts? Questions? Let me know!

Too heavy objective focus in the points department can be counterproductive for the fun. It reminds me of Hardline, where the capture points were vehicles and it was most effective to stay in the peripherals of the map and drive around in circles with them. Thats why kills should have an effect on the outcome so that people don´t feel like they have to "avoid" the battle.
