LED and GS ebells id say almost maintenance free I like it and I bet most signal maintainers do too

Guess I may be one of the few that prefer NEG and WCH before GS. Up to this point I have only had well used GS bells but their internal adjustment features are nearly inaccessible to adjust or replace out in the field. Not to say that GS bells are bad but in my own experience I prefer other manufacturers if I have the option. NEG has an external volume potentiometer and WCH has the metal housings and it still gives the ability to easily adjust the volume by just taking off the lid. I guess you get what you pay for as GS bells are of the least expensive to buy new compared to other manufacturers. As for LEDs, the only ones that are problematic are the older models. Have not seen any of the newer models have any issues so far.

It has not been changed as far as distance goes. Some track work has been done to it since then.
