Yeah. You won't get the rolls this way, but this method is fine for unlocking the double, triple and charged slash, since every swing hits, and you're hitting something that doesn't die. Once you get the charged slash though, use it.

I always assumed grinding for the weapons was Zero either relearning how to use weapons, like the buster and Z saber, and mastering a weapon true gruelling training. By Zero 3-4 he's now well versed in using hid weapon. Now in a way you can understand and immerse yourself in why some swordmasters in history just go to some place and train with the same tecnique non stop.
@theonewhowrotethis5681 Жыл бұрын
It also helps lore-wise that by Z3, Zero ain't waking up from a deep sleep (Z1) or an emergency repair (Z2). Since he had constant maintenance in Z3 and Z4, he didn't have to relearn everything all over again.

I find those tower enemies with those spike on top of them in the Aztec Falcon's stage to be the best way to lvl up the saber and triple rod because you get to practice your reversals while farming them. And they're easily accessible too

I do the saber grinding in the first mission up to level 5. Also, yeah this video is way too damn accurate that it's actually terrifying. Honestly, I think Zero 4's grinding issues is way worse then Zero one because in that game, at least the drop rate was reasonable (I'm Not including weapon grinding in that).
@tdawgmaster1729 Жыл бұрын
The only obnoxious grinding in Z4 was for Moliod parts because you can ONLY find them in the intermission level, so if you get bad RNG your time score nosedives. As for Z1, have you ever tried to get cyber-elf Jackson? It takes several hours of grinding for the gargantuan number of e-crystals
@superharpuia Жыл бұрын
@tdawgmaster7833 If I ever attempted to do that, then that will clearly mean I don't have a life, but I have videos to script and make as well as shit to do. My brother can do that because he has a lot of free time on his hands. Plus, the number of times the enemies drop things I'm not grinding for whenever I'm grinding for parts, energy crystals, or health drops is pretty damn ridiculous. That or the many times where they drop nothing.

Zero 4 having worse grinding? Man you're tripping balls, getting every single crafting piece and fully upgraded cyber elf (both of which you don't need unless you're going for 100% completion) is a 1000x times more comfortable and a easier experience compared to Zero 1's E-crystal grinding and weapon grinding for basic upgrades

Grinding to level up your weapons was the one thing about the Zero series I really didn't enjoy. It artificially extends the play time by replacing gameplay elements with tedium. If they had allowed you to start with all the weapon powers fully unlocked from the start of the game, nothing about the game at all would have changed except how much time it takes you to beat it.

Most recent playthrough I just grinded 6000 crystals on the spider pods at the start for like half an hour, snagged all the health upgrade elves, and just went about the game normally. Wasn’t half bad, but a funny thing is that by the end, Z saber was still a star away from max rank, and I never touched any other weapon. Plus I was incapable of affording any other elf after those health upgrades… god this game is grindy.

@@herogaming7893 that or grinding Z saber,you will naturally unlock all the moves when you lvl up it to the max, although you can "pick" which one you get by using certain slash variants (example for roll slash use the dash slash to lvl up and you will get it first,same for air roll slash)it easier to do if you always use the move you just unlocked (you get a lot more exp then using regular slashes)
