This band was one of the first bands I ever heard. My mum introduced me to The Levellers and New Model Army at a very young age. My entire music taste developed from these guys. 😼🤟🏻

Simon is getting to resemble Robert Plant more and more. I don't know what to make of the bands latest stuff, it's quite different. Much more of an indie edge to my ears, like how Mouth To Mouth was billed at the time but obviously totally different. I reckon Static....was a career highlight so it'll be interesting to listen through the Peace LP.

No, it can't 😐 If this Plannedemic boooolshit "Lockdown" (that's the powers that ought not be's way of saying we're officially prisoners now) was 'lifted' it could still go ahead. I'm sure if the Levs put a call out for boots on the ground to help get it into gear it'd happen.

@@georgemckenna7570 they did three good albums....and then even the third one was full of dodgy tracks.How on earth they have survived for three decades when similar bands such as the Pogues barely lasted a third of that time will have to remain a mystery to us all.

@adrianbryan59414 жыл бұрын
Dressed liked that he would surely be one of those favourite eccentric teachers at Secondry School. Teaching pottery, woodwork, or one of the sciences I reckon.
@mooseven4 жыл бұрын
Ha, if you look back over the Levellers' career, Simon's a total chameleon. He can look like a biker, punk rocker, suave teacher, Willie Nelson and anything else in between and unless you knew, you wouldn't realise it's the same guy.

Really? Same stuff? Yes there's an identity to Levellers but if you think it's all the same then you really haven't listened properly. The 6 new songs I've heard are all really good which bodes well for the album.
