Love the product. It's high quality, well made. Feels solid with good craftsmanship. Super easy to use and adjust. The only thing I found frustrating are the discrepancies in the installation instructions. The ones that came in the box do not mention the 4" and 1/2 for example.

I think they saw me coming with the price tag but it has really helped a lot with working on the sheet rock in stair hallway.

Werner product specifications require the ladder to be D1300 series or above. How has the D1200 held up with use of this product?
@LeveLokCorporation5 жыл бұрын
The Werner D1200 series extension ladder, with the KeyLok Leveling System installed, has been load tested in accordance with all applicable ANSI and OSHA Standards. Levelok's testing showed a passing grade.

Which kit is this? This video shows 4 holes on this unit but the Keller AK020 only has 3 holes - the first of which is in the location this video states not to use! Also, this video shows the first mark measurement at 4-1/4” while the Keller and Werner 1200-2 series instructions show the first mark at 4” from bottom of rail. The Keller and Werner ladders are exactly the same ladders made by Werner- branded differently. I’m confused as to why the Keller AK020 first hole is in a location where this video says not to use! There is no 4th hole on mine. Please advise.

The Keller branded AK020 and Werner branded PK70-1 do not have a 4th mounting hole, as shown in our installation video, at this time, however we are making this upgrade for them, at the production level, starting in November 2020. Our model LL-STB-2QC (same product, but includes the 4th hole) has had the 4th, lowest hole for about 2 years. Some of the larger distributors / manufacturers needed more time to make this kind of change for a variety of reasons. The 4th hole enables installation onto D1200 series aluminum extension ladders and similar ladders so that the leveler can be attached without tipping the ladder when it is on a level surface. Until the AK020, as described above, is available in stores, you have 3 choices..... 1. Drill a 5/16" diameter hole exactly 3/4", on center, down from the 3rd, lowest hole on the AK020 base units. (See Installation video for D1200 series ladder on Levelok's website and youtube.com) 2. Install the base units as described in the current Keller Instruction manual. Leveler shoe will be slightly lower than the ladder shoe when ladder is on level surface. 3. Return the AK020 and purchase the Levelok branded model LL-STB-2QC which includes the 4th mounting hole. Follow the installation instructions in our kit and / or on our website. Should you choose #1 above you will need to obtain 2 smaller washers (3/4" dia) for the 4th hole mounting. Only 3 bolts are necessary for all installations, so the 3rd hole should be ignored on the 1200 series ladder. Installation, as shown on our website, for the 1200 series ladder, will keep the leveler up high enough on the ladder when the leveler is attached to the base units on level ground.

The hardware (including bolts and screws) seem to be a rust magnet. Does this force the user to store everything indoors? Also, where is everything manufactured, i.e., USA or abroad?
@LeveLokCorporation3 жыл бұрын
In many cases steel is the strongest, safest, most cost effective material to use for certain parts that require physical characteristics of this nature. The issue of corrosion is always a challenge when using metals outdoors for prolonged periods of time. Some regions have 0 issues with premature corrosion, while others, where salt air, salt water or salted roads, etc. have issues with rust and corrosion quicker. Please note that we have made a number of changes to the corrosion resistant plating on all of our steel parts over the past 26 years and just recently started using a new type of plating that appears to be more effective than previous types. And, as a bonus, uses non-toxic ingredients. Although this is actually a big step in the metal plating / coating industry, of which we are proud to be a part, we are constantly reviewing and testing new alternatives that can add value to our products while conforming to the constantly changing regulations that control what we can and cannot utilize. I hope this helps you understand the steps we have taken and will continue to take to address these manufacturing matters. We are based in the USA.

Why was this filmed in a dark basement?
@LeveLokCorporation4 жыл бұрын
Hi Thomas, Thank you for the feedback. This video was captured in one of Leveok's warehouses. We thought the dark, industrial, concrete floor would be a good contrast to the lighter, aluminum ladder rail color. We will surely take your suggestion into consideration when taping future videos. Always good to hear comments that can help us make our videos better. Best regards, Philip Lanzafame Levelok Corporation

There is no way I’m going to glue anything when there are bolts to secure it
@gregorye.tyrone91456 жыл бұрын
I don't trust anything that uses glue :-/
@shawnwise24586 жыл бұрын
The glue just holds the spacers in place for easy installation . The glue has nothing to do with the strength of the levelers. I've actually used this method before for installing junction boxes. It's outside the box thinking, no pun intended!
