Levi Green's 1958 Chevy Apache Truck at Wheel Hub Live

Builder Levi Green got his 1958 Chevy Apache truck as a present from his uncle when he was 14, but you could barely call it a truck given the condition it was in. So along with his dad, Levi went about restoring the truck.
Levi made many additions to the truck to turn it into a hot rod, like grafting a 1978 Trans Am front clip to the stock chassis, and a custom step notch for the rear suspension.
The engine of this truck is a 355 small block Chevy with a 350 transmission. He’s thought about adding an LS engine, but he likes that this is the engine he built with his dad, and it’s always been reliable for this classic truck.
Levi was kind enough to show off his Apache truck at the Wheel Hub Live event hosted by the Speedway Motors Museum of American Speed.

Very nice..I drove a 59 Apache fleetside to high school in 1962..$1,000.00 dollars with 3k miles..loved that truck. Coincidentally my son went to Wyo Tech in 1998 and had second highest score..immediately went to work at BMW..now service manager at a Ford dealership in Northern CA

Very nicely done..I'm 77 and in 1962 was driving a 59 Apache Fleetside to school..turquoise green..big back window and chrome..everything..LOL Sold it and built a 59 Ford Galaxy..swapped out the running gear for an R code 427" engine...four speed tranny and R code posi rear end. Ran stock steel wheels with Lutz cheater slicks..had stock full hubcaps..352 valve covers and four barrel air cleaner..it was a "sleeper"..easy to con Chevy gassers..LOL

From the colors stance brightwork its perfection!! The wood in the bed is tasty, nice touch dude. Stick a 144 or 174 weiand blower on it, will have all the power you need. Best bang for the buck...can leave it carbd too.

Looks incredible, drive it and drive it some more, enjoy it all you can. Yes some go fast can come later. ( no L.S. ) not right for the year. So many other choices that are period correct. 😊
