His own friend Armin could not understand him anymore while Jean, who always saw him as rival could see through. What an irony! That moment, specially that moment eren needed someone beside him. Mikasa loved him, worshiped him, but she never knew how to approach him. Jean tried to understand him, but couldn’t due to lack of time. Other members didn’t even bother to. Armin saw his changes early on but the scene where they fought was just too personal to look at it from a more levelheaded point of view. Eren said hurtful things to him too and Armin is already very insecure so it's easy for him to think that what Eren said is true while Jean saw how Eren treasured them and he couldn't accept it that easily. I really wish Armin, Mikasa or someone else would've talked with Eren from the moment he started acting weird instead of Hange making it look like he was going through a phase but even then i know they just didn't know how to handle him. Everybody was pretty fucked up mentally but they almost never talked about their feelings and mental care wasn't a thing so it doesn't surprise me that nobody sat him down to talk about what was going through his head, if they had to do it everybody in the corps should have had this talk too

Not only that, but he laughed the same way when Hannes died. He was laughing at himself for not being able to do a single thing to save them. (spoilers) That's also one of the reason for him starting the rumbling and trying to smash everyone else but Paradis, the place where he was born and taken cared of, where there are peoples who he loved. In order to save them, he doesn't care how many peoples he kills, he just wants to save them. Even if it cost him his life, nor it cost him the whole world. So basically, saying Eren is bad is something that isn't true. There was no good in Attack on Titan to begin with, he is just one of the bad. Everyone on attack on titan are bad. It's a war, what did you want from a war between the world vs one single country? In order to win, you have to kill the ones on the other side.
