These are perfect for my body type. I have a hourglass figure and I am 5 ft 2. Because of my body type and short little legs (in loose trendy clothing) I look a lot bigger then I am. I was looking all over for tighter fitting jeans without having to wear skinny jeans, so I could show the figure of my body more. These jeans are perfect for that and still very classy!

I bought them because they made my bum look great. But they didn’t feel trendy. I was about to donate them but I decided to cut the bottoms off and now have a very trendy lightly flared crop look. Loving them so much more now!!

From what I have seen of 1970s looks I think they would be perfect. As long as you didn't get them too tight.

Its supposed to fit about the same as a skinny jean at the top, so thats how its supposed to fit. It will look silly looser. If you want wide leg jeans, you need a different stye.
