Interviewed him in 1974 when he was playing on tour local jazz clubs. Very modest. We talked about whether "swing" would ever come back. Thanks for posting.

Love this tape. Herb Ellis is down to earth, and the material is organized and approachable. Nice one, Levi!

Herb is another one of my all-time favorite Jazz guitarists. Got to meet him at my first NAMM show in Nashville back in the early 90's. I was starstruck as I have admired this guy for many years. Thanks for posting, Levi.

This is fantastic! Thanks so much for making this. There are lots of great blues lines in this and they are actually playable for someone like me. Having tab synced to video helps a lot. I'll be going over this many times and trying to learn it. This reminds me that I also want to learn some of Emily Remler's blues from her video. She was a Herb Ellis protégé and she also played very tasteful lines and chord/bass accompaniments that could be learned by normal people! 😉 I've been playing for almost 50 years now but not often enough, so I am at a certain very-sub-pro level of skill.
